Honda Nighthawk all finished up and ready to go.
Plastics looked like they’d been stamped on with bits missing.
New parts and graphics kits are unobtainable so all plastics repaired and graphics recreated in paint no problems.

After what was supposed to be a few blow-ins and a tidy up for Cambrian Classics Ltd very own Mercedes w114 may have got slightly out of hand. After discovering the back arches were made out of fibreglass and seam sealer we decided the best thing to do was new inner arches, sections of boot floor, new rear quarters both sides, passenger rear door bottom needed replacing too inside and out, the sills needed sections repairing aswell as the bottom sections of both front wings.
Then it only seemed appropriate to bare metal the blistered top facing surfaces and then give the whole outside of the car a fresh coat of blue in base and clear.
This was one of those jobs where the more work you did the more it grew, luckily Tim and his wife were very understanding of the process and wanted what was best for the car and in my opinion it was so worth the extra effort.

Another public service announcement.
If you’re booking your car in for “few rust scabs sorting out” this might happen to you.
Unfortunately the last repairers in decided cold welding was good enough after removing layers of fibre glass and seam sealer there wasn’t much left to save.
Luckily the very understanding customer purchased new quarter panels and inner arches and the rest was made in house. Now we have a solid car again we can get on with the fun stuff.

If you got microblistering in your paint and you painter says it needs to be bare metal’d this is why.
Ive seen and heard many people say “just sand it and paint it”my reply is we will be having the same conversation in 6months time. In my opinion for this situation its bare metal or live with it as is.
Usually this is what lurks beneath your blistered paint

Great to see Jay Hines pre unit triumph all back together and in the build off tent at thetripout.
As always it was fun to collaborate with S I G N S by Von with the refinishing on the tins.
Jays attention to detail on this bike is inspiring especially considering “he doesnt do shiney bikes”.
I feel honoured to have been asked to paint this bike and collaborate with awesome friends like Lou and Jay and of course paint nerding with Bryce “Von lead foot”.

Heres a Mgb roadster we painted the side on for Cambrian Classics Ltd in colour matched in Blaze Orange all buttoned up and ready to go out the door.
This car came in for body work and paint after Tim and the cambrian classic crew had sorted the mechanical and fabrication work out.

Wasn’t happy with the colour match on the paint i bought for the ‘71 monkey bike project against the NOS headlight shroud in Honda Candy Ruby red.
It was flat and didn’t have the deep tone that it needed so i decided to make it myself.
Now she has that pop it needs look forward to getting this thing buffed up and out the door next week.

Had this lovely mk6 es**rt in last week for a bit of welding and fesh paint on the bonnet, wing and mirrors.
The job didnt warrant a blend so we painted it edge to edge.
Finished off with a full machine polish this es**rt is fresh and ready to hit the streets….
