A BRAND-NEW DRIFT TYRE DEVELOPMENT IS UNDERWAY! ππ₯
Weβre excited to share a first look at a brand-new professional drifting semi-slick tyre design currently in development! π
This isnβt just about creating another tyre β our goal is to engineer a tyre specifically around the demands of drifting, combining maximum grip, consistency and performance with a price that makes sense for drivers.
π οΈ THE DEVELOPMENT
πΉ New staggered V-shape directional tread pattern β being engineered to maximise the contact patch and deliver performance in both dry and wet conditions.
πΉ Reinforced sidewalls β designed to help support lower running pressures and wider contact patches, taking inspiration from the design principles seen in tyres such as the Tri-Ace R1.
Compound development β weβre working closely with our manufacturing partners to get the rubber compound right for the demands of drifting, focusing on maximum grip and usable performance.
πΉ Real-world feedback matters β we have the ability to work with the manufacturer on compound adjustments based on testing and driver feedback, helping us refine the tyre as development progresses.
π€ WORKING DIRECTLY WITH THE MANUFACTURER
Weβre collaborating closely with an experienced manufacturer that also produces an established tyre brand already used here in the UK. This gives us the opportunity to work towards the right combination of tread design, construction and compound for our intended application.
π― OUR GOAL IS SIMPLE:
β
Maximum possible grip
β
Performance in both dry and wet conditions
β
Sidewall support suited to drifting
β
Compounds developed around real-world feedback
β
The best possible performance at the best possible price
These images show the early design concepts, and thereβs still engineering and development work to be done before we can make any claims about final performance.
We want to get this right β not rush a product to market. Our aim is to deliver a tyre that drivers can trust, performs where it matters and offers genuine value for money.
ποΈ This is just the beginning. Stay tuned for more updates as the project develops!
