Dave Watson brought his Harley Davidson Low rider FXDL 1690 to Barkers motorcycles for MOT today. The bike has only covered 4000 miles and he has owned it for eight years. The bike is mint It's never seen rain or salt I didn't dare mention I seen the gritter out on Friday outside his second home!!!. Great day oot with the VMCC

Christian brought his Royal Enfield Interceptor into Barkers for new boots this week. He has opted for a set of Pirelli Scorpion rally STR high-performance adventure tyres (roughly 70% road, 30% dirt) aggressive off-road looks with excellent street making it a popular choice for the Enfield. The bike looks great.

Jimmy, fellow sand dancer brought his Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 to Barkers Motorcycle MOTs on Thursday, they officially require a valve clearance check and adjustment every 6,000 miles or annually, whichever comes first. However, many owners and technicians advise checking them at the initial 300-500 mile service, as valves can seat early, and then every 3,000–6,000 miles for optimal engine health. Dave Watson ( Royal Enfield guru)carried out the checks on the valve clearance and found a couple did need adjusting so it was a good bit of preventative maintenance on a nice Interceptor. Derek ventured out on his Peugeot Vivacity for its annual MOT at Barkers Motorcycle MOTs . Derek told us he is now 81 and said when he gets out on his bike and down the coast road he feels like he is 16 again. Quality bloke!
