🔥 A wicked Bentley Bentayga with a potential nightmare fault… 😳
One of our favourite cars was back with us this week — yes, another Bentley! 🖤
This V8 monster came in for a set of glow plugs (and believe us, they’re not the easiest things to get to on one of these beasts!) along with an ABS fault.
The warning had started as an amber ABS light… but had now turned red. 🚨
VAG vehicles have a well-known issue with brake vacuum sensor faults. The sensor itself is relatively cheap and can be replaced in seconds.
BUT ......
When the ABS module sees the vacuum sensor fault, it starts counting brake pedal applications. Eventually, it stores the dreaded:
⚠️ C123EF0 – Limit Value Attained
And this is where the headache begins.
The fault cannot be cleared using normal methods, and the official VAG repair procedure is a replacement ABS pump.
With an ABS pump costing nearly £3,500, plus fitting and coding, the official Bentley fix would see the customer facing a bill of over £4,000. 😬
Thankfully, this is where having the right network matters.
Working alongside the brilliant Andy Young from Yorkshire VWAG Retrofits, using a bit of TeamViewer wizardry and his specialist software knowledge, we were able to restore the ABS system back to its original condition — without replacing the pump.
