Hopwood automotive have now officially moved to our new premises. (Link to maps below)

Here are some pictures of our new garage. We are excited to open our doors on Monday, welcoming old and new customers.

Good evening, hope all my customers, friends and family had a lovely Christmas and Newyear!

Today we had Nicola Orr Driving 's lovely electric Volkwagen ID3 in the garage to replace the front brake pads and discs. Genuine VW parts supplied and fitted as per the customer's request. We arranged to carry the work out in-between Nicolas' lessons so she could get back to instructing with minimal impact on her customers/business.

This week we had this stunning BMW M3 convertible in the garage. The owner wanted it checked over as it had been in storage all winter. We gave it a full service. During the service, we noticed the brakes were slightly seized from sitting for months. Therefore, we carried out a brake strip and clean. It's now ready for the summer.

This BMW X5 came into us with a suspension issue, overnight the car would drop on the offside rear.
We found the cause of the problem using a very high-tech method of diagnostics........ soapy water. This allowed us to see that the offside rear air spring had a small hole allowing air to escape. Therefore causing the suspension to drop.
New air spring installed and car delivered back to the customer the same day.

Owner of this immaculate Volkswagen Caddy called us last week to get booked in for his clutch to be replaced due to it slipping in higher gears. Full Clutch kit supplied and fitted by us and returned to the customer within 2 days of initial enquiry. Another happy customer!

We had this lovely Nissan Juke Nismo RS in last week, it was recovered in with lack of power and a rattle coming from top end of the engine, using our bore scope camera we identified contact marks on the inlet of the turbo, suggesting the turbo was at fault.
Further strip down revealed the oil feed to the turbo was clogged and blocked, and that the turbo shaft has snapped (due to lack of oil supply)
New turbo, supply pipe and all other associated parts fitted, wheel alignment carried out and now returned to the customer.
This is an ideal opportunity to highlight the importance of changing oil regularly to help oil feeds and gallerys run freely. Therefor preventing costly repairs.
