🌒👀 Today’s eclipse is the deepest partial solar eclipse visible from the UK since 1999.

With more than 90% of the Sun obscured between 6:17pm and 8:06pm today, some drivers may need to switch on dipped headlights to stay visible.

🌙 To enjoy the rare spectacle, we recommend pulling over somewhere safe and using specialist glasses.

Congratulations and well done to Georgia passing her test this morning on her 3rd attempt.
An absolutely brilliant drive, only 1 driving fault even after missing your turn and having to detour along the A184 and around the Shell Redheugh roundabout you managed to keep your nerves under control.
A very well deserved pass after all of the hard work you've put in, Even travelling from outside my area by bus with a baby to meet me.
Thanks for choosing me as your instructor, its been a pleasure to teach you to drive. Good luck on finding a new car. Drive safe and enjoy your new found Freedom.

Changes to driving test booking happening today. ⚠️

From today (9 June), if you move your driving test, you can only move it to one of the 3 nearest test centres to where it's currently booked.

This is the remaining change we committed to make by the end of Spring 2026:

📅 31 March — test changes limited to 2 per booking

🔒 12 May — only learners can book, change or cancel their own test

📍 9 June — test moves limited to 3 nearest centres

Since 12 May, we've suspended 3605 accounts for breaking the rules and reported apps to app stores for removal. We're not stopping there.

Congratulations and Well done to my lovely pupil Ayesha passing her test this morning in Gateshead with just 4 minors.
A very well deserved pass. Her hard work and dedication has paid off.
Always gave 100% every lesson.
Just over 3 months from start to finish.

A Special thanks to her Dad and Mother in Law for taking her out in between lessons to help her gain confidence on the road.
