We are delighted to off this beautiful 1969 MGC GT 3.0 6 Cylinder Manual with Overdrive.

Finished in Tartan Red with Black leather interior. Covering 33000 miles.

This 57 year old automotive piece of history really has to be seen to be appreciated and is in fabulous condition throughout and has been nothing short of cherished by its previous owners.
Modifications and Enhancements...
Many of the modifications have been carried out to improve use and drivability and none of the modifications are what one might consider severe, and the car is still certainly easily recognisable as an MGC and many of the modifications are not visible on the outside of the car.
Gas Flowed Cylinder Head. Shortly after buying the car I tracked down a previous owner and bought this from him, it is reputedly modified by Bill Nicholson.

What can we say about this incredible car, well for starters it is a Bruno Secco designed Mercedes and that really says it all but that’s not all this a Facelift final Production CLK55 from the W208 model! the S-Type R has all the hallmarks of a proper four-door bruiser. Behind that divisive oval grille (I’ll get onto that in a bit) is a burbling 4. 2-litre V8 with an Eaton supercharger strapped to it, delivering an XJR-matching 400hp and 399lb ft of torque to the rear wheels through a six-speed ZF auto. So fast was the R that it could hit 62mph from a standstill in 5. 3 seconds and had to be electronically limited to 155mph - just like the German big guns.

This is normally where comparisons between a Jaguar and its Bavarian brethren would end, but not so the S-Type R. Not only did it get the obligatory brake upgrade, stickier tyres and adaptive dampers, but reviewers at the time were full of praise of the R’s ability to deal with corners without completely losing the plot.

With just 1,274 S-Type R’s sold in the UK, this rare and well-maintained example is a testament to Jaguar’s engineering prowess.

So forget the Germans and buy the British Brute in a suit!
