A little closer look at yesterday's mystery picture…

💥 PSA WET BELT FAILURE! 💥

The wet timing belt has started breaking up, sending debris through the engine oil system and blocking around 70–80% of the oil pick-up 😳

🚨 Restricted oil flow like this can quickly lead to serious — or even catastrophic — engine damage.

Thankfully, we caught this one in time and we're going to be able to save the engine! 🙌🔧

We're doing quite a few of these lately — definitely an issue worth keeping an eye on if your vehicle is fitted with a PSA wet belt system.

This coil spring hasn’t just snapped once… it’s broken in TWO places! 😳

You can clearly see the spring has fractured in two separate areas, leaving sections of the spring completely out of position.

⚠️ A broken coil spring can affect the vehicle’s handling, ride height and suspension performance — and in some cases, the broken section can move around and cause further damage.

This is why it’s important not to ignore knocking, clunking noises, changes in ride height or unusual handling.

🔧 If you think something isn’t quite right with your suspension, get it checked before it becomes a bigger problem.

📣 TYRE NUMBERS EXPLAINED! 🚗🛞

Ever wondered what all those numbers and letters on the side of your tyre actually mean?

Take 235/45 R19 95V for example:

🔹 235 = Tyre width in millimetres
🔹 45 = Profile — the sidewall height as a percentage of the tyre width
🔹 R = Radial construction
🔹 19 = Rim size in inches
🔹 95 = Load rating — the maximum weight the tyre can safely carry
🔹 V = Speed rating — the maximum speed the tyre is designed for

👉 These numbers are important when replacing your tyres. Fitting the wrong size, load rating or speed rating can affect the safety and performance of your vehicle.

🔧 THE ANSWER IS… 👀

That horrible rattle was caused by a broken heat shield! 🔥🔩

A very common fault on the 1.0L Ford EcoBoost engine, and when the heat shield breaks, it can make an awful rattling noise that sounds much worse than the problem actually is!

Thankfully, it’s something we can diagnose and sort out for you. 👍
