Been rather busy in the background with various things. Just before the year end we gained IMI Level 4 Award in the Diagnosis, Testing and Repair of Electric/Hybrid Vehicles. People that know me know that i do a lot more than just vehicle air conditioning. 34 years in the motor trade and 21 years specialising in vehicle air con. So you can be sure that it doesnt matter what you drive we can take care of it.

Here on another scale we have a cracking R580 V8 Scania that had a few leaks in the A/C system that were rectified most of the the parts were supplied by FreezBreez Ltd apart from the leaking pipe which was purchased from Scania (££££££). All up and working now ready for the hotter weather.

Had the pleasure of fitting Webasto AT2000STC to these trucks. We did 3 in total.
These vehicles had arrived without night heaters, as they were sleeper cabs it would be rather cold at night without these.
We were approached for a solution to this and recommended the Webasto 2KW diesel air heater. Most of the older Scanias were fitted with the popular Eberspacher D2, the newer have a down graded Webasto Eco pro 50 to 38 for the oem market. (5KW water heater reduced to 3.8KW) These newer heaters work with the vehicles' own coolant system as the Webasto water pump will use the existing hot water from the engine once it cools down the diesel fired heater will keep a closed loop nice and warm. The heat from these blows out the normal vents. They are also fitted outside behind the drivers side headlight (which causes its own problems).
These vehicles are now ready for the winter months.

A newer shape, Audi A1, is in for an air conditioning fault. Using the correct legal method, the leak was quickly found. Wee bit of stripping in these. Back to how they were a good few years ago. Not a bad job though.

Mercedes EQV300 in for air con repair. It was said from one of the local "fast fit centres" that it had a leaking valve?.
Once the bonnet was open, it was very obvious where it was leaking. New pipe ordered from the dealer and fitted. The usual special procedure for doing electric vehicles was carried out. Now, working the way that it should.
These vehicles also use air conditioning for cooling the batteries when fast charging. So it is definitely a good idea to make sure it works correctly.

Rangerover brought into us to check the air conditioning. This vehicle had been else where, and they assumed it would be the condenser that was leaking. After they fitted the condenser, they realised it still had a leak. After a quick look at it, I spotted a bit that didn't look too clever. After checking it with the correct procedure, it confirmed that it was there it was leaking. New genuine pipe fitted and recheck. Vacuumed down and recharged, nice and cold the way it should be.

Jaguar XF with a burst high-pressure pipe. This vehicle had a new condenser fitted to it when the customer had bought it down south. When they had fitted it, they left the pipe fouling one of the coolant hose clips, which resulted in the burst pipe. New pipe fitted from Jaguar back to being nice and cold.

Sorry for being a bit slow on the posts. We have been so busy and keep forgetting to update the page. Normally, take pictures for content 🤷‍♂️😂
Mk1 Audi TT in for a new compressor, drier, and condenser. Getting a bit rare these days. This one was a tidy example. This job was passed over from another a/c specialist. Probably not one you would want to do on someone's drive/side of the road. The system was fully flushed, dried, built back together, and then pressure checked. Once we confirmed the system was tight, it was then vacuumed down and filled with the correct amount of refrigerant. Ran system and checked.

As the weather is finally getting warmer, people are realising that their air conditioning is not working.
When it is so cold outside and because your ac switch lights up, it can give a false impression that it's working.
This Renault Clio had been else where to one of our local "gas and run" service centres, which resulted in the system stopping working a day or so later.
We checked it using the correct method and quickly found where it was leaking.
The pipe was replaced and checked for further leaks. Then, I vacuumed down and filled with the correct amount of R1234YF.

Skoda Octavia in for a condenser. This one was advised by another garage that it was just needing "re-charged" Once we checked it using the correct method both myself and the customer could see it was more than just that.
These condenser were very common back in the day as they were fitted to a lot of the VAG range of vehicles.
All back together and working as it should.
