This Lotus Elise S2 recently visited Hilton & Moss for a suspension overhaul, with a Nitron fast-road suspension setup fitted to sharpen the car’s handling while keeping it perfectly suited to road driving.

The aim was not simply to make the Elise stiffer, but to create a balanced setup that delivers improved body control, sharper turn-in and greater stability without compromising ride quality or the car’s famously communicative chassis.

Carefully set up for fast road use, the new suspension gives the Elise greater composure through corners while retaining the feedback and character that make the S2 such a rewarding driver’s car.

NEW ARRIVAL | 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster.

Our latest restoration is now for sale, following a full exterior respray and interior retrim.

Manufactured in September 1960 and finished in its original DB166 Blue Grey, this exceptional 300SL Roadster features a black leather interior with matching black boucle weave carpet.

Originally supplied to the US and imported to the UK in 1996, the car underwent a total body-off restoration under the supervision of SL expert John Olson, retaining its factory matching-numbers engine, gearbox, rear axle, steering box and king pins.

More recently, the 3.0-litre direct-injection straight-six engine received a comprehensive rebuild in 2025, including dyno testing by specialists Riedling & Mouser. The team at Hilton & Moss has since restored the car to its original factory colourway, with a fresh exterior respray, fully retrimmed interior and soft-top, renewed weather seals and brightwork, plus a full service and health check.

Presented ready for immediate use and enjoyment.

SOLD | JAGUAR XK150S 3.8 FHC

In 1998, one visionary enthusiast set out to create the ultimate road-spec Jaguar XK150. Not simply restored, but reimagined without compromise.

The result was this exceptional XK150S, built from a genuine, matching-numbers, UK-supplied RHD 3.8-litre Fixed Head Coupe, representing the final evolution of the XK lineage before the arrival of the legendary E-Type.

Created as the ultimate high-speed vintage touring machine, the specification was extensive. A Wide-Angle D-Type cylinder head, D-Type camshafts, forged pistons, custom connecting rods, polished crankshaft, triple Weber carburettors and a five-speed gearbox formed the foundations, alongside upgraded cooling, AP Racing brakes, custom suspension, limited-slip differential and bespoke aluminium wire wheels.

More recently, the car has received further mechanical upgrades including a complete engine rebuild by CMC, Jenvey Dynamics Heritage throttle bodies with a CMC custom ECU, air conditioning, power-assisted steering, upgraded Koni suspension and period-correct bucket seats.

Born on 17th May 1960 and dispatched just ten days later, this final-year XK150S benefits from the coveted 3.8-litre DOHC straight-six, making it one of the most desirable XK150 variants.

More than two decades after its transformation, it remains in outstanding condition and perfectly demonstrates how thoughtful engineering can enhance a classic without compromising its character.

With its blend of period-correct craftsmanship, significant performance upgrades and modern usability, this truly is a remarkable driver’s Jaguar.

Widely regarded as the ultimate evolution of the Evora platform, the GT430 was the most powerful road-legal Lotus ever produced, with just 60 examples built worldwide and only 25 destined for the UK.

At its heart is a 3.5-litre supercharged and charge-cooled V6 producing 430bhp and 325lb-ft, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and limited-slip differential. With a 0-60mph time of around 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 190mph, it delivers performance to match its uncompromising appearance.

True to Lotus philosophy, extensive carbon fibre bodywork helps keep dry weight to just 1,258kg, while the advanced aerodynamic package generates up to 250kg of downforce. Öhlins TT-X dampers, Eibach springs, Michelin Pilot Sport tyres and AP Racing brakes complete a chassis engineered with the driver firmly in mind.

Finished in Evora Silver with red carbon strakes, gloss black forged wheels and red AP Racing callipers, the exterior is unmistakably GT430. Inside, black leather and Alcantara are complemented by red seat centres, contrasting stitching, carbon-backed seats and an Alcantara steering wheel.

This example has covered just 5,400 miles from new, with three owners and almost six years with its current keeper. It benefits from full front PPF, documented history, 2025-serviced Öhlins dampers, a Moroso aluminium sump and a Metatrak S5 tracker.

Rare, focused and increasingly collectible, the Evora GT430 is a modern Lotus icon and one of the finest driver’s cars of its generation.

NEW ARRIVAL | 2008 Aston Martin DBS

Price: £99,950

Made famous by Casino Royale, the Aston Martin DBS was the flagship of the marque’s range when it launched in 2007, combining the elegance of the DB9 with more aggressive styling, sharper dynamics and a naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V12 producing 510bhp.

But for enthusiasts, it’s the combination of that glorious V12 and a six-speed manual gearbox that makes this DBS particularly special. Of the 2,534 DBS Coupés produced, just 984 were fitted with the manual transmission.

This early example was first registered in December 2008 and supplied by HWM Aston Martin. Finished in stunning Storm Black with its subtle red metallic flake, it sits on 20-inch multi-spoke wheels with carbon ceramic brakes, complemented by carbon fibre front splitter, rear diffuser and mirror arms.

Inside, the cabin is finished in Obsidian Black Alcantara and leather, with heated and memory sports seats, Piano Black trim and the highly desirable Bang & Olufsen sound system. And while the B&O system sounds fantastic, the Quicksilver secondary cat pipes ensure the naturally aspirated V12 provides an even more compelling soundtrack.

Having covered 42,300 miles with five owners, including almost six years with its most recent custodian, this DBS has been maintained exclusively by Aston Martin main dealers. Most recently serviced by Aston Martin Hatfield in July 2025, it will receive a fresh service upon sale and comes with a 12-month warranty.

A 6.0-litre naturally aspirated V12, manual gearbox, carbon ceramic brakes and unmistakable Aston Martin design. The DBS has all the ingredients of a modern future classic.

Available exclusively through Hilton & Moss.

Not every Lotus comes into the workshop for routine servicing. This Lotus 2-Eleven recently visited Hilton & Moss for a track-focused geometry setup, with the aim of getting the most from its lightweight chassis and performance-focused setup.

Our technicians carefully checked and adjusted the wheel alignment, camber, toe and suspension geometry to suit the car’s intended use, helping to optimise turn-in, balance, stability and tyre performance on circuit.

The 2-Eleven was already designed with the track in mind, so getting the geometry right can make a significant difference to how the car behaves at the limit.

Another Lotus leaving the workshop ready to make the most of its time on track.
