🎉🎉 FIRST TIME PASS 🎉🎉
Congratulations to Kieran who passed today at Bishopbriggs with only 2 driver faults !! Kieran completed a 25 hour intensive course over the last week. A huge achievement getting to test standard well with well below the average number hours of training. Listening to all my moaning about indicators and mirrors was worth it 🤣
Safe driving mate 🚗

🥳🎉 FIRST TIME PASS 🥳🎉 Huge congratulations to Lisa who smashed her test yesterday at Baillieston. Passing with only 2 minors and great examiner feedback. Sure your life will be a lot easier now being able to ferry the wee ones about. Well done again and safe driving 🚗 💨

Massive congratulations to Kyle who passed his test today ( just 😂) had a wee blip during the test but thanks to an understanding examiner and Kyle pulling it together again he did it !! We did a 35 hour intensive course and have to say Kyle has progressed to way beyond test standard and is a natural at driving. I’m sure you will become even better in a short space of time. Drive safe m8 🚗💨

I often hear pupils say, “My dad passed after one lesson” .... “My dad had no lessons and passed on his 17th birthday”’ 🤨 (always dads funny enough 😂😂)

Heck no pressure on your kids guys 😲

It got me thinking about the differences from learning to drive now compared to when I was a learner.

🚥🚦Learning to Drive in the 90s 🚦🚥

Reverse parking was not taught ✅

There was no Theory test✅

There was no hazard perception test✅

There was no independent drive section✅

No satnavs ✅

There were no show me/tell me questions✅

There were no /very few bus lanes✅

There were no red routes✅

There were no/very few cycle lanes✅

There were no advanced stop lines✅

Cyclists were taught cycling proficiency at school✅

Pedestrians were taught the Green X Code✅

There were more police enforcing driving standards✅

There were less vehicles on the road✅

Hardly any parked cars✅ Two car families were rare ✅

I never heard the term "road rage"

There were no speed humps, 20 zones, build outs or other traffic "calming" measures.

As far as I remember other drivers gave me space and time while I was learning✅

There were less/no mini roundabouts/double mini roundabouts✅

Roads were better maintained with signs and line markings you could actually see, and pot holes had not been invented✅

Supermarkets were not open 24/7 and closed on Sundays so you could always use their car parks for some initial practice✅

No mobile phones. Less distractions. ✅✅✅✅✅✅

The test only lasted about 20 minutes✅

Your children have so much more to deal with than you ever did so please show them the respect and admiration they deserve for just attempting to learn to drive let alone facing the practical driving test in today’s challenging driving climate ✅✅✅✅✅

🎉🎉First Time Pass 🎉🎉Huge congratulations to who went and smashed her test this morning at Baillieston test centre with only a few driver faults. This is a great achievement mainly due to the fact that Lauren switched from auto to manual a few weeks ago, completed a 20 hour intensive course plus a few lessons. Once we got over the tantrums at roundabouts which normally involved me and other drivers being abused 🤬. No idea why it was my fault she stalled but apparently my lack of hair has something to do with it 🤷🏻‍♂️😂. Anyway road rage is now in check and we have a very calm competent qualified driver. Safe driving and I’ll see you on the roads no doubt 🚗💨
