Another Jagaur F-Type recently in our workshop for upgraded aluminium coolant outlet pipes (Y-Pipe)

With the known issue of water ingress through the bonnet vents causing corrosion, we also extract multiple rotten valve cover bolts and supercharger / charge cooler fixing bolts.

Whilst the supercharger was removed with completed a coupling replacement and oil service on the blower.

One of the many Jaguar XKR recommissions we undertook this year. This early 2007 XKR X150 was certainly tired and in need of some love!

Our Jaguar expert technicians performed an all filter / fluid service, lots of preventive maintenance including replacement of the supercharger valley pipes using our friends at upgraded hoses and some tasteful modification including a reduced supercharger pulley, larger supercharger coolant pump 👨🏻‍🔧

EMS Independent Jaguar Vehicle specialists - XKR & F-Type Expert

This Jaguar F-Type was recovered to us suffering with a client concern of flashing engine light and engine running rough.

Before the vehicle was brought to us it had previously been to a “friends” garage - who replaced a coil in hope to resolve the misfire concern - based on fault codes alone. Unfortunately things got worse when the vehicle was drove to perform a good old I ln hope of the misfire somehow disapearring! The misfire only got worse and excessive smoke was found to start coming out of the tail pipes.

When the garage admitted defeat, the owner of the F-Type searched for a -Type and found us.

We performed our troubleshooting assessment and confirmed no compression and a faulty injector on cylinder 6 using our trusty and scope techniques taught by our friends at

Due to our findings we opted to remove the plugs and carry out a cylinder inspection with a borescope and also perform a manual compression test whilst performing the cylinder inspection.

As you can see from the images attached the piston and cylinder bore have certainly suffered some irreversible damage.

Our final job of 2025 was this stunning Jaguar XF 300 sport suffering with an intermittent engine warning light / excessive rattle from engine bay.

Although the engine fitted to this XF is an ingenuim - it is a petrol variant which doesn’t suffer with chain issues nearly as much as the diesel models.

Using our trusty and excellent training from we found the issue to be caused by a failed exhaust vvt actuator.

With our findings and recommendation our client decided to go ahead and replace both upper and lower timing chains / guides and replace both vvt actuators and bolts.

With this job complete, we are now closed until Monday 5th January 2026. We will continue to monitor / respond to online enquires, but the phone line will not be monitored.
