Visit to the launching event of Witton Lodge park project titled "The parks where I live" once again reinstated why urban green spaces, small or large, are so valuable to both humans and non-humans. I met Steven from the Quadron team this morning in the park. He shared his opinion about the Park. He said "if local people love this park, they have to organise themselves to take care of this place, there's no point abadoning the park, instead keep it tidy, have activities, put couple of benches, make flower beds etc. I am trimming the grass and making a picnic area, why not have picnic in the park and enjoy the beauty - don't forget to take your rubbish with you before leaving the park :)".
