Well I got bored waiting for the weather to improve and get the car mot’d .

Having decided to right this year off I have found some motivation again to fit a few bits and pieces .
Not started the engine again but that will happen at some point to see if cooling issue sorted .
Cars pretty much together bar the front bumper but that will happen along with making up a front splitter and carrying out some touch up’s .

Swapped out the stock rocker cover with an updated item with built in an10 take off’s .
Had to make up a mounting bracket for heat shields but it’s come out ok .
Colour slightly off from the Kawasaki green sprayed in the Uk but I can live with it .

Most of the programming is complete , just need to get my head around setting up the start button to act as a start / stop but it’s not essential.

Enough now , will go for startup tomorrow.

Trying to get movivated again!

Engine refused to start and with afr sensor reading bouncing around I pulled the dash again.

Plugs only sparking for a few seconds and then they all stop.

Seems I wasn’t paying attention and connected the lambda heater to the ECU earth that runs all the sensors 🤦‍♂️

Connected straight to chassis but no difference.

Ordered the new v3 Spartan controller .

Rewired the new controller and double checked everything ECU wise .

Afr now stable and showing as it should and the plugs sparking continually on turn over .

Tomorrow will be getting the dash back on and hopefully fire the motor again with a working wideband . 😁😁

None car related .

Having now lost 3 close ppl in 18months which has knocked a lot of the stuffing out of me , I just wanted to say don’t take those close to you for granted and assume they will be here forever.
Hold them and tell them you love them while you can , they can be gone in an instant . 😢

Just as I was getting motivation back life just wanted to give me 🖕🏻🤦‍♂️

So still problems with afr stuck at 14.5

Spartan startup seems ok 1.6v then 3.3v but pins back to 2.2v / 14.5afr

Checking the sensor for heating and it’s stone cold after nearly 5mins 😢

Dash back off to get at the unit and check the wiring is 100% but don’t see why it would suddenly have an issue .

I’m guessing the controller has failed ffs 😡

Fingers crossed I’ve cured the overheating /flow issues , if this doesn’t do it then I’mJust going to remove the stat 😞S...

Just going to remove the stat 😞

Stripped everything off and bore scoped all the water ways / pipework to make sure I’ve didn’t leave anything inside . All clear

Re done the feed and returns for turbo / wastegate cooling . Opened up to an8 and then dropping down to an6 / an4 respectively. Same for returns .

Engine clearly running very rich but something was up with wideband as it constantly stuck a 2v / 14.5afr .
Replaced sensor and wiring with new units / pre made loom back to Spartan controller . Hopefully the unit is ok .

Funk motorsport heat blankets fitted to turbo & wastegate .

Just waiting for a couple of replacements pipes and I’ll try it again . Bloody thing does not want to leave the garage 😂😂

Back on all fours , rear spoiler on , passenger door on .
Body work now it’s open again has somehow developed a number of dents over it’s time in the garage 😢

Engine point blank refuses to start . Ffs 😡

Had enough , going to watch the tennis 😂

New stat fitted following first start overheating issue.

Newpower intake gasket fitted to reduce heat transfer to the SEM manifold .

New plugs

Finished the pmu’s programming for the moment and amended fuel tables to compensate for bigger injectors .

Enough for today 😆

Fire up again tomorrow and fit doors / cat and old front bumper which will do for mapping . 🤞

I’ll do a couple of videos explaining the new electrical layouts / wireless setup . Nice to be able to start car from steering wheel whilst being bonnet side 😊😊

Finished bonnet but bloody thing slipped off the bench so some paintwork to patch up 🤦‍♂️

Small bonnet scoop added to clear the turbo outlet .Will be sprayed black once bonding has cured.
