🔧🚗 Audi TTS in with us for a fuel tank malfunction warning and inoperative fuel gauges.
Using manufacturer wiring diagrams and a systematic diagnostic approach, we began testing the fuel level system to identify the root cause of the fault.
🔍 Diagnostic process:
✅ Removed the rear seat bench to access the fuel sender connector
✅ Tested the fuel sender unit and confirmed it was operating within specification
✅ Back-probed the wiring and carried out circuit testing using manufacturer data
✅ Traced the fault to a corroded ground splice within the wiring loom
After repairing the affected wiring, the fuel tank malfunction warning was eliminated and the fuel gauge operation was fully restored ✅
Another fault solved through proper testing and diagnosis, avoiding unnecessary parts replacement.
