The Government issued vehicles with a 6-month MOT exemption in March 2020. This was part of their response to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
This MOT exemption has now ended on the 1st August 2020.
Demand for MOTs will be twice as high as usual in September, October, November & December. Alongside our normal MOT customers for this time of year, there will be many more trying or wanting to get tests done as their exemptions expire. Please remember that the high demand won’t just be for this year only, it will be for every year going forward.
If you get your MOT done early (or get yourself booked in in advance), it will help keep you safe on the road, and help us to manage the high demand during our busy time.
It’s worth remembering that you can book your car in for its MOT test up to a month (minus a day) in advance to keep their annual MOT date.
