And the final job for 2025 is going out the door, ready for a big night of deliveries!

We’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and to thank you all for your support, kindness, and well wishes in what has been a huge year for us, our team, and our business.

We will close the workshop doors this afternoon, once Santa’s sleigh has departed, and will be back in duty on Monday January 5th, 2026.

Engine start and run-up today for this Lotus 15, restored by Classic Performance Engineering.

This is a rather special car, most notably for being a Team Lotus Engineering works entry in the 1958 24 Hours of Le Mans, with Graham Hill and Cliff Allison.

It qualified in the top six, just behind the Aston Martins, and ahead of eventual winners Ferrari. Head gasket issues brought an early retirement, and the 15 had a later history in South Africa.

Still running its period ‘Queerbox’ sequential transmission, the lithe Lotus is always a workshop favourite at CPE.
