Sometimes traveling for work has its benefits. Getting to see lovely customers from all over the country and then sitting in the sun enjoying the views a good coffee and writing my reports. Not a bad way to the end of my afternoon yesterday.

All MOT Testers must complete their annual training and assessment by 31st March.

Failure to do so will result in losing the ability to carry out MOT tests until training is completed and access is reinstated.
Please ensure your training is finished and recorded in good time to avoid any disruption to testing.

Full-Time Mechanic / MOT Tester – Bicester

Salary £50,000 pa

Location: HH Autos Ltd, near Bicester

Hours: Mon, Thurs, Fri: 8:30am – 5:30pm

Tues & Wed: 8:30am – 7:00pm

We’re expanding our team at HH Autos Ltd and looking for a skilled, motivated Mechanic / MOT Tester to join us full-time. If you’re confident working independently, managing workshop tasks, and delivering top-notch service, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

• MOT Testing – Class 4 & 7 vehicles

• MOT Repairs

• Servicing – All makes and models

• Diagnostics

• Timing Belts / Wet Belts

• Clutch Repairs

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified MOT Tester

• Strong mechanical experience across a range of tasks

• Passion for the trade and a proactive attitude

• Reliable, independent, and great at prioritising

• A team player with solid communication skills

As we come to the end of 2025 and look ahead to an exciting 2026, we’re incredibly proud of what our team has achieved this year.

🚗 We launched our very own MOT Awareness Course and delivered it to over 180 people in garages across the country.
🏍️ Russell travelled to Jersey where Russell helped to deliver a motorbike inspection programme to the vehicle inspection team.
👨‍🔧 We’ve trained new MOT Testers and Managers, and supported garages needing refresher training to help testers break old habits and return to fully compliant testing.
🛠️ Meanwhile, Karena, Russell, Mark and Mike have been on the road non‑stop — from Scotland to Taunton — carrying out site visits and helping garages stay compliant with DVSA standards.
