It’s Time for some updates to the page sorry to all the followers I’ve been so busy for the last few months I’ve not had chance.

I had a massive challenge fixing this Specialized Bradshaw bowling buggy.

The main controller wouldn’t turn on despite having a fully charged battery.
These controllers are almost impossible to replace so it would have ment scrapping the entire chair but with a little perseverance I eventually traced the fault to a tiny blown resistor on the circuit board, it’s amazing how something so small can cause complete failure.
I found an appropriate replacement resister and soldered it in to the circuit board and it sprang back into life, hopefully it will now have many more years of service.

I had the great pleasure of repairing this Jorvik ETrike that would only power on but not provide any motor assistance.
Traced the fault to its ECU that had unfortunately had water ingress.
Renewed the ECU and everything’s back working as it should.

Available for all mobility vehicle repairs, ebike builds and repairs.

Another Ebike conversion!

I got so carried away with the build I forgot to take photos!
Here’s the after photos only of the specialized rockhopper 29” converted with a 52volt bafang mid drive ebike kit.
Really pleased with how it turned out, it looks almost factory. 👌

I had a customer bring along this RCF active speaker system used by professional singers and DJ’s etc, they brought it to me as it had decided it wanted to be part of the a drum kit!

After removing the main curcuit board from the speaker I ran some continuity tests and discovered it had a dead short on the power rail’s, after much component removal and testing later the short related to a blown capacitor shown in the picture (screwdriver for scale)

The capacitor was renewed with one of the same value now the only noise it makes is glorious music as intended.

This has probably been one of my hardest repairs to date!
The customer asked me to look at an ebike that wouldn’t turn on!

My first port of call was to check the battery voltage this showed 52 volts this would indicate a charged battery so I discounted the battery as the problem and spend way too many hours testing the rest of the bikes wiring and components.

Only when all of these checked out ok did I look at the battery again this time taking the covers off and noticed the water inside the battery box and the damage to the cells

This is the battery pack from the electric bike and despite its appearance and the water damage this still contains 52volts of charge. 😱
But if any electric load is attached the battery would instantly disconnect to 0 volts resetting to 52v once the load had been removed. 🤯

I was asked by my customer to look at a petrol pressure washer that wouldn’t start it’s no wonder,
The fuel tank and carburettor were both full of water!
After a full decontamination clean up and service the pressure washer is back to full power and starts first pull 👍

A New fan motor was sourced and fitted at a fraction off the cost of a replacement.

Had another ride on in the workshop this week initially called to non start due to a faulty start relay and a faulty seat cut out switch.

Once we got it running again and whilst we’re at the back end of the season now it was treated to a full service including carburettor deep clean and a new blade all ready for the spring.
