Bucket list car getting be Boyds C&C treatment.

A 1968 numbers matching 302 V8 Mustang.

It will be getting a full mechanical and cosmetic overhaul as well as full interior refurb.

I will be attempting to reinstate and modernize the factory AC and giving it some handling mods to help it hug the windy Bedfordshire roads a bit better.

It won't be a quick one, so you will have time to start saving if you want a sorted Mustang.

Great to hang out with today and as always he got some great snaps.

Boyds Cult & Classic T-shirts are now available to order on the website. That's Christmas sorted then!

Hey everyone, just checking in.

Sorry for not posting much over the last few weeks, I have been busy beavering away but with my time being limited I haven't been sharing much.

The Nash Metropolitan is still up for sale and looking for a new home, and the Ramcharger is also up for sale although I am currently overhauling the fuel system as it wasn't running right.

With those two out the way, I am going to be starting a new build: a 1987 Ford Bronco II.

I am not a big fan of AI 'art' but to help inspire me, this image shows what I am gunning for. I have just sent for A LOT of parts to make the build come to life. New fuel tank, sender assembly and pump, new wings and a repair panels, and will be going through the car from back to front, repairing, welding and overhauling with a view to it being the best Bronco II in the country.

Excited to start a new build, I am sure it will cause me some heartache and bruised knuckles along the way, but if it looks anything like that picture it will be worth it.

I will be sharing the progress on YouTube as the build gains momentum.

Have a great weekend!

SOLD SOLD SOLD

1957 Austin Nash Metropolitan £7750

Check out the YouTube video to get the lowdown on this cracking little car:

This is the UK version of the iconic Nash Metropolitan, designed by Nash and made by Austin in the UK. Of the approx. 105k of these made only 10K of them stayed in the UK as RHD Austin cars, and only 50 remain on the road.

A nice, honest example of a very usable classic with American 50’s looks, but a more manageable size for UK roads and garages.

It has a 1500 Austin B-Series engine which has been modernised with electronic ignition, fuel pump and alternator for a little bit more reliability and it runs like a sewing machine and will get you up to 55mph with ease.

The engine is paired with a 3 speed column shift transmission and has just had a new clutch slave cylinder installed so now changes cleanly and easily.

The car runs and drives great having covered over 200 miles in the last month, and is MOT, tax and ULEZ exempt for that cheap classic motoring.

It does have a couple of flaws with some imperfections to the paint here and there (it has been repainted in the past), the front seat base is a little worn and the doors don’t lock as it came without key barrels.

All in all this is a cracking little classic car, ready to be used and taken to shows and it raises a smile from literally everybody who sees it.

Ready to drive away.

Car is located in Bedford, and I can help with delivery if needed.

May consider swaps or PX for other American vehicles.

The finale of the F100 build is live on YouTube now. It ended in a bitter sweet way, ending in mechanical/financial disaster but finding a fantastic new owner who is going to take it to the next level and give it the use it deserves.

Onwards and upwards!

In the final part of my 1967 Ford F100 restoration series, disaster strikes. After months of work breathing new life into this iconic classic Ford truck, the...

CAR IS NOW SOLD AND GOING HOME TO ANGLESEY!

1949 Austin 16 £3750 may consider PX/Swap

This incredible car was 1 owner from new until April this year when it was pulled from the garage it was stored in for over 40 years and recommissioned. You will be the 3rd owner on the logbook which is pretty amazing for a car that is over 75 years old.

I have made a YouTube video of the car which you can see here:

https://youtu.be/42T3Om0heik?si=hFzp2UvTcJqkNssN

Having undergone a thorough recommissioning, the car now starts on the button and drives well, with the 16hp 2.2 l 4 cylinder engine getting you up to 45 mph no problem and could go faster if you are brave enough.

The car is really original and I have done as much to it as I can without compromising the originality so the new owner can decide whether to just drive it, or do more to make it show worthy.

The interior is really lovely, with leather seats in great condition along with the bakelite dash and steering wheel etc.

I have been through the electrics and sourced an original key (this was missing so a start switch was rigged up) so I reinstated the original ignition – amazingly the key also locks the door! Everything works, from the horn, to the heaters, to the wipers, but the trafficators are a little sluggish. They have power, but probably need the ground cleaning up or the mechanism greasing. It is a positive earth system. The car has had an electric fuel pump fitted.

The car is solid underneath and looks like it has been protected for a long time, but the paintwork does leave a little to be desired having chipped and cracked after being garage stored for so long. I am not sure if it is the original paint, but it is certainly over 40 years old if it was repainted.

There is a small amount of rust to the rear valance (pictured) but the rest of the bodywork is straight.

The car has an Anglesey reg which is apparently rare and comes with the original handbook as some old MOTs and some old paperwork. It has a V5.

I am not much of a British car fan, but have to say I love the way this looks. The lines and su***de doors give it a real hotrod vibe.

Car is located near Bedford for viewing/collection.
