"Drivers are increasingly delaying their MOT bookings until after their test has expired, according to data from BookMyGarage.
Analysis of over 350,000 bookings across a 12-month period revealed that the proportion of motorists booking an MOT after expiry rose by 60% year-on-year."

There's still plenty of time before 31 March 2027 but is that a reason to leave your CPD until the last minute? 📆

Ross is back with another straight-talking video, this time on MOT Annual Training and Assessment.

All MOT Testers must complete at least three hours of annual training during the training year, complete the Annual Assessment and retain their training record for five years. Miss the 31 March deadline and your MOT tester licence will be suspended. ❌

There are plenty of voices out there talking about the MOT industry.
Some informed. Some helpful. Some… louder than others.
So we thought you might want to hear a little more from ours.

Our MD, Ross has spent years working in and around the MOT industry, building businesses that train MOT professionals and support testing stations across the UK. And we thinks it’s time we became a little more vocal about the things that matter.
❌ Not for clicks.
❌ Not for controversy.
❌ And definitely not to shout the loudest.
But to bring a steady, experienced and honest voice to the conversation.
There’s a lot happening within the MOT scheme and with that comes opinion, interpretation and misinformation.

Our approach is simple: FACTS over noise.

We believe in raising standards, supporting MOT professionals and maintaining a constructive relationship with the DVSA and respect for the scheme we all work within.

During April to June 2026, the vehicle testing stations below were suspended from testing for a minimum period of 2 or 5 years. They will need to reapply to DVSA to re-enter the MOT scheme.
