A service isn't just something to think about when the car starts making a strange noise.

Regular servicing gives key components, fluids and maintenance items the attention they need and can help identify developing issues before they become more troublesome.

How often your vehicle needs servicing will depend on the car and manufacturer's recommendations.

If you're unsure when yours was last serviced, it's worth checking your records.

Mileage is useful information when buying a used car — but it doesn't tell you everything.

It's also worth considering:
📖 Service and maintenance history
🚗 Overall condition
👤 How the car suits your needs
🔑 Age and specification
💷 Your total budget

A slightly higher-mileage car that's been looked after may suit you better than simply choosing the lowest number you can find.

Browse our current stock and find the car that works for you.

Trying to avoid a last-minute MOT rush?

You can normally have your MOT completed up to one month, minus one day, before your current certificate expires and still keep the same renewal date for next year. 🚗✅

That gives you a little more flexibility when choosing an appointment.

If your MOT is coming up, getting it booked early means one less job to remember.

With wetter roads becoming more common, now is a good time to take a proper look at your tyres. 🌧️

For cars and light vans, the legal minimum tread depth is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre and around its circumference.

Also look for cuts, bulges or uneven wear and check your tyre pressures when the tyres are cold.

Unsure about the condition of yours? Have them checked.

Before choosing your next car, ask yourself:
🚗 What will I mainly use it for?
👨‍👩‍👧 How much space do I really need?
🛣️ What type of journeys do I normally make?
💷 What budget am I comfortable with?

A car can look perfect online but still be wrong for your everyday needs.

Starting with these questions can make narrowing down your choices much easier.
You can browse Roy Castle & Co's current used-car stock online whenever you're ready.

Changing cars doesn't always mean having to sell your current vehicle privately first.
With part exchange, your existing car can be valued and potentially used towards the purchase of your next one. 🔄

For many customers, that can make changing vehicles much more straightforward.
If you're thinking about a different car, speak to Roy Castle & Co about your current vehicle and the options available.
