I'm in the process of building these seats up, those of you in the know, will recognise them immediately, those of you not so up to speed, with rare MK1 Es**rt seats, here we go!

These are commonly referred too as the "Works Pack" A non matching pair of Contour Seats, whereby the drivers side is the fixed Contour Clubman seat and the passenger seat is the Reclining Contour Navigator seat.

What is so special about this particular set, is that they are trimmed in grey Herringbone material, now extremely rare to source, the make up of the material does not lend itself to extreme changes in temperature and often you find the material has separated from the scrim and foam backing making it almost worthless. In this case we found a good length of excellent material.

These will be ready to collect Mid April and will be fitted with their original head rests with the correct chromes stems and correct handwheels. I can also supply a matching rear cover set for these seats if you need it at an additional cost.

As always, all of our items are cheaper direct from us, you can of course chose ebay and pay a premium if you wish.

Not sure if many of you would have ever seen one of these, they are so rare, that I have only ever had 2. But this one is now fully restored and ready to ship to a customer in Europe next week.

The Restall Type 1, pictured here, was probably the start of aftermarket seats being sold and fitted into new cars, back in the early 60’s.

Whilst Ford opted for Contour, BMC opted for Restall and Microcell. Take a look at the pictures and you decide what you prefer, but you have the admit this really is something special.
