Hyundai i20 ADAS Fault – Test, Don’t Guess 🔧

This Hyundai i20 came into us with an ADAS fault and multiple warning lights showing on the dashboard.

Rather than simply replacing parts and hoping for the best, we carried out a proper diagnostic assessment using dealer-level diagnostic equipment, along with the relevant technical bulletins.

Our testing pointed us towards a software issue within the front camera.

We were able to update the camera software to the latest available version — and the fault was cured. ✅

🚗 Correct diagnosis saves you money.
This Ford Kuga came to us with an overheating problem. It had already been diagnosed elsewhere as having a thermostat stuck closed.
But we don't assume previous diagnoses are correct.

One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is: "It just needs regassing."

The reality is that a regas only works if the air conditioning system is sealed and functioning correctly.

⚠️ VAG timing belts are not something to gamble with.
Manufacturers often quote very long replacement intervals — but in the real world we regularly see belts cracking, stretching and deteriorating long before failure is expected.
At AMS Diagnostics, our recommendation is: ✅ Replace timing belts at around 10 years or 100,000 miles
✅ Earlier if the vehicle has a hard life, lots of short journeys or unknown service history
