Few more pictures of this crazy looking bus, all the artwork was hand painted by an American artist called Norm Dillinger , it’s all done with the very end of the brush, how crazy hey, it screems the hippy movement and what a vw bus would look like at Woodstock 😬, I bet I’ll get more looks in this that the Barndoor samba

Thanks for all the interest everyone bus is now sold and off to the other side of the world ,it was funny reading some of the comments from total idiots who have no idea on value of these rare vw buses ,same as when I post pictures of a really big restorations and I’m told it cannot be done, either get with the times or just don’t comment , all you are doing is making yourself look stupid tbh 🤷‍♂️

Top day today handing over Simon’s Barndoor patina monster that we have saved all the way from a swamp to a conversation we both had at skeg a couple years ago , something along the lines of ,fancy it mate’ yeah you know what I think I do , and that was that the rebuild commenced , I think you can agree it has turned out so cool and what my team and I have achieved yet again saving as much metal as possible grafting it all back together when everyone online saying it cannot be done to make this radical bus, well think again as we will keep proving you can over and over ,if you see Si on the motorway heading home give him a pip

Slowly plugging away at the 48 build, had mastermind wiring man Iain Burns sort the loom install out for me, we have corrected a few bits on engine that we had done wrong and some of you kindly informed me which we appreciate, we don’t claim to know it all everyday a school day in my eyes 😬 we know the taillights are wrong but I’ve ordered the right ones these are only on to try finish the build up before I get told off 🤣, next up interior to fit , I do need some carpets and rubber mats if anyone can help were to get them I’d be very grateful 🙏

Such a cool car this one 1952 British army of the Rhine delivered new (BAOR) then sold of into civilisation and painted blue to disguise it ever being a military car, then decades later an eagle eyed previous keeper spotted what this car actually was , factory 11E one of a handful known I think 9 worldwide making it one of the rarest vw’s of them all, I just love it, loads of army issue only parts also ,and plenty of green paint now showing in engine bay after a power wash ,just thought I’d share some cool photos of it
