Volkswagen Golf GTI 2.0 TFSI in with performance issues and an engine fault that’s becoming increasingly common on this platform.

The vehicle was suffering from poor running, misfires, and breaking up at higher RPM. Using our diagnostic scan tools, we identified incorrect camshaft correlation values, pointing to a stretched rear timing chain.

This issue is well known on the EA113 engine platform and doesn’t just affect the Golf GTI — it’s also common across vehicles such as the Audi A3, Seat Leon, and other models using the same engine variant.

Early diagnosis is key. Left unattended, a stretched chain can lead to serious internal engine damage and significantly higher repair costs.

If your 2.0 TFSI is showing symptoms such as rough running, fault codes, or loss of power at higher RPM, we recommend having it inspected as soon as possible.

We recently completed the installation of a full NHA air ride system on this Mercedes-Benz E220, delivering a setup that balances premium ride quality with precise stance control.

The system was professionally installed and calibrated in-house, allowing us to fine-tune ride height, damping, and response to suit both daily usability and show-level presentation. Particular attention was given to wheel-to-arch fitment, which was dialed in precisely to the customer’s specifications. The result is a perfectly measured stance that sits low and aggressive when aired out, while remaining fully functional and practical at driving height.

To complement the installation, we designed and fabricated a minimalist boot build focused on long-term reliability and ease of maintenance. By keeping the layout clean and accessible, all key components remain easy to service while preserving valuable boot space and maintaining a factory-plus aesthetic.

This project reflects our approach to air suspension builds: precision fitment, clean ex*****on, and practical design — without compromising on performance or visual impact.
