E60 530d we just had in for a new glow plug control module and to diagnose a no boost issue.

Smoke tested and found a broken clamp on one of the boost pipes, this has a big after market intercooler fitted and the boost pipes have been modified to suit, one sits very close to the pulley under the alternator and it had worn through over time. Fitted a new boost clamp and moved the pipe away from the pulley as best as possible until he can get the correct pipes sorted.

While fitting new glow plug module, we changed the plastic coolant fl**ge under the inlet manifold at the same time, as we could see it had been leaking, very common place to leak on these M and N engines.

Just had this E36 in for a few jobs. The gravity alloy rad was leaking from where the core meets the expansion tank, we have seen quite a few of these gravity rads having different defects over the past couple of years. New oem rad sourced and fitted. Also new rocker cover gasket fitted to stop some leaks and the rear camber arms replaced, the adjustable ones had pulled their bushes out.

Another one just gone back to its owner.

This e61 520d was in for a new high pressure fuel pump, the pump must have been failing for a while as the full fuel system and tank was full of metal shavings, injectors removed and sent to be tested, all 4 injectors failed.

So the full fuel system was cleaned, removed fuel tank to fully clean, new bosch injectors fitted and a new bosch hpfp and all back up and running..

I keep telling myself i need to post more stuff, but then get to busy and forgot to post anything for weeks.

Going to try challenge myself to remember to post something everyday from now on..

Ill start with this cool E34 525i we had in last week, came in as a non runner, would start sometimes but wouldn't idle right or rev at all. We suspected fuel pump, quite common on these, checked fuel pressure and reading under 1 bar, should be 3/3.5 bar, replaced intank fuel pump, while it was out we also replaced the intank plastic fuel lines as they had gone brittle and broke when you moved them.

Back up and running now and back to its owner to be used again.
