🚨 Servicing 🚨

This is what came into our service department today for a service…

Just look at that oil, if that’s what you can call it? It’s more like tar than engine oil and definitely not what you want circulating around your engine.

The noticeable damage so far is that the turbo has seized completely solid, but with the oil like this, who knows what other damage has already been caused internally without further diagnosis.

Turbos rely massively on a good supply of clean oil, as does the rest of the engine. When oil gets this thick, oilways can become restricted, lubrication suffers and components simply aren’t getting the protection they need.

This is why regular servicing is so important. A car can still be running and driving while damage is slowly being done inside the engine. To our knowledge, the only indication so far has been the engine management light and who knows how long that’s been on for. But unfortunately, the damage is being done on the inside.

Oil and filters are cheap. Turbos and engines aren’t.
Maintenance on your vehicle is crucial, and we highly recommend servicing every 6–10k miles, depending on the vehicle and how it’s used. 🔧

As many of you have seen, we’ve recently rebranded to MotoHaus.

We’d just like to clarify that while Wheel City Motors and Duffryn Garage have always operated separately, we’ve kept the Duffryn Garage name because it’s well known locally and has been part of the community for many years.

Although we have some exciting changes and big plans on the way, the Duffryn Garage name will remain on our social media pages and continue to be a familiar part of who we are.

Thank you all for your continued support as we move into this exciting new chapter

Many of you will have noticed the changes happening around the garage recently, and now we can finally share what we've been working on.

While we'll continue to offer the same great service and expertise you've come to expect, we're taking the business in a new direction with a stronger focus on German performance vehicles, including BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and Porsche.

Don't worry, our Range Rover and Land Rover customers aren't going anywhere – we'll still be offering the same specialist knowledge and support we've built our reputation on.

This rebrand represents the next chapter for us, and we're incredibly excited for what's ahead. We'd like to thank all of our customers of Wheel City Motors, old and new, for your continued support throughout this journey.
