We opted for a FN2 gear box due to the continuous issues we are seeing with EP3 boxes mainly caused by stretched or worn shifter cables and shifters.
These issues we do not see within FN2s

What happens when a 3rd gear explodes?
In this case, the shrapnel made its way up to the countershaft circlip not allowing us to release the counter shaft, we had to remove the reverse assembly from within to split the box.
From inspection we then found damage to the final drive, further damage throughout the gears, essentially making this complete gearbox scrap.

The solution? In this case a 5 Speed conversion
Replacement final drive, deep clean, bearings and seal kit, and a few other genuine Honda parts to get it back to good health.

🔥Box 150! 🥳 of this year so far , extra busy with boxes but they are flooding through the door!
This one was for racinghondas drive Tommy Mitchell #58
A lock up at oulton seen a broken driveshaft and as a precaution we opened the box to check it over.
Luckily we did. 1 of the mfactory inner plates had broken up and was on its way to cause a lot more damage.

We spent the bank holiday weekend away racing with the racinghondas kilted Kswap drivers bobbarron45 and japcom1,
Spending the Sunday test day gaining tyre data and adjusting the set up to suit the ever so demanding Cadwell park,

Bob ended the race weekend with pole position, a race 1 race win, a race 2 2nd place and another new lap Record

Fraser end the race weekend with 2 podium finishes, 3rd place in both races his best result To date in the championship,
