Bishopscourt 2026 ✅
The dust has settled after a great weekend racing and a great weekends craic! Both cars came back in one piece, even though Lewis may have one piece less on his car 👀
With us all looking at the weather apps all weekend, Saturday turned out to be brilliant for both practices + qualifying! Lewis Dunlop had a small clutch adjustment issue in the Midget Modsport, but the team quickly identified the issue and got it sorted for his qualifying. He then vastly improved on this, by putting the Midget 4th on the grid for Sundays two races - in the fantastic new class called the Irish Allcomers.
Clive Brandon had new tyres to try on his Lotus Europa, after scrubbing them in, in practice - he went on to set great times in qualifying to put the Europa 3rd on the Grid for both races! Super pace from Clive + the car!
Sunday once again had everyone glued to the weather apps, but thankfully for both Lewis race in the All Comers + Clive’s in the HRCA, they were both dry! Lewis had an awful start with the car bogging down putting him back down the field, but once she came alive he managed to get back up to 4th and gave Michael Ward a great clean battle for 3rd place! Lewis’ second race unfortunately had him finish P6 after a wrong call on tyres cost him a battle up the front end of the grid! But great progress + learning for the new Midget!
Clive Brandon had a great battle all weekend with Mark Russell in his Morgan Plus8, finishing P4 in the first race! The second race for Clive saw the heavens open, but Clive took full advantage of the rain and gave Mark a great battle again to finish in 3rd place in the HRCA!
A great event + a big thanks to the organisers, marshals, scrutineers + to the whole team for working their magic as always, + to Jimmy Graham for the photos above 📸!
Our next event is in two weeks time in Donington, so keep an eye for what will be racing there 🧐

Our next event is this weekend at Bishopscourt Race Track just outside Downpatrick! With huge grids expected we will be competing in two separate classes, Lewis Dunlop in his MG Midget Modsport + Clive Brandon in his Lotus Europa.
Saturday 16th is Practice + Qualifying
Sunday 17th is two Races for each car
Fingers crossed the weather holds up but get yourself down to watch some of the best racing in the country!

Day 1 of the Mondello Park Historic Festival complete ✅
A very much relaxed feeling heading into Qualifying this morning, with a limited amount of tyre grip we opted for 5 laps in qualifying to save our tyres for the race! We managed to get 8th position to start both races!
Race 1 of the weekend we got a slow start off the line with a few cars getting in round us, but once Clive got the power down he was gone! With a few early battles Clive then settled into 6th place were he managed a steady race right to the finish line 🏁
Great start to the weekend and gives us great pace for race 2 tomorrow! Once again huge thanks to all the marshals + organisers + medical teams who volunteer to make it all happen! Also great work by the GDM team! 💪

The Guards Trophy at Snetterton was a blast 💥 coming away with P5 overall and Driver of the Day!
Snetterton was a great track and the HSCC were very welcoming, the Crosslè never missed a beat and done us proud again! Weather was great but the craic was mighty 💪 Great to see so much support from back home and with a few people coming over to watch us!
Next up for us is the Mondello Park Historic Festival in a few weeks, now for a bit of sleep 😴

Arrived at Snetterton, Tyres changed + Sun out! Ready for a cracking day tomorrow! Wish us luck 🍀

Successful first round of the ICCR at Mondello Park yesterday, the weather was on our side with only one shower throughout the day.
Qualifying was a tight one battling for 5th on the grid with Mark Russell in his Morgan, Clive managed to just win the battle of the faster time on the final lap of qualifying to secure P5 on the grid!
Both races throughout the day were much the same for us, we had a bit of a battle in race one to secure P6 and then managed to get P5 in race 2 with another competitor dropping out!
Great pace from the Lotus Europa this weekend, with Clive Brandon also setting his own personal best time round the National Circuit at Mondello Park! Big thanks to all the organisers + marshals + of course our team! We look onto next weekend now for the first round of the Guards Trophy at Snetterton next weekend in the Crosslè 9s!
