Every wash. Every season. Every change in weather.

A ceramic coating IS an invisible force field — it’s just NOT an invincible one.

A ceramic coating creates a sacrificial protective barrier between your paintwork and everything the road throws at it.

Road salt, bird droppings, insect remains, mineral deposits and other harsh contaminants hit the coating first, rather than directly attacking the clear coat underneath.

But that protection still needs maintaining.

The longer contamination is allowed to sit on the surface, the more opportunity it has to attack and degrade that protective layer.

And on an uncoated car, there’s no ceramic layer taking that punishment first — the paintwork itself is the line of defence.

That’s why regular maintenance matters whether your vehicle is coated or not.

With a ceramic-coated vehicle, correct maintenance helps preserve the coating and keep it performing properly.

Without one, regular maintenance becomes even more important because once the paintwork itself becomes etched, stained or damaged, putting it right can require significantly more work.

Another car with a strange smell… but no obvious sign of where it was coming from. 👃

The interior generally looked pretty clean, but once the steam cleaner hit the problem area, the source became noticeable very quickly.

We don’t know exactly what had been spilt on the rear seat, but it appeared the area had previously been wet vacuumed. While that can leave the surface looking clean, contamination can remain deeper within the fabric and padding — allowing the smell to gradually return.

This is where steam can be incredibly useful.

Working the area correctly helps loosen contamination within the fibres and bring residue towards the surface, where it can then be physically removed rather than simply leaving the top layer looking clean.

Once we’d thoroughly treated the source and completed the interior deep clean, the vehicle was given an ozone treatment to deal with any remaining airborne odours.

Finding the source is the important bit.

Masking a smell is easy.
Actually removing what’s causing it takes a little more work. 👌

The lads at have been at it again… 🌱😂

And somehow, they’ve managed to bring us even more mess than last time.

When you’re running a garden and landscaping business from your car, there’s really no escaping this level of abuse — grass, mud and debris gets absolutely everywhere.

Fortunately, we managed to resurrect the poor thing once again and get it looking like a car rather than a mobile compost heap 💪😂

Safe to say it was a satisfying transformation.

When your vehicle has been detailed and protected properly, even the rain can work in your favour. 🌧️

This client upgraded their BMW to a newer model, but rather than relying on the standard dealership handover, they booked us to give it the level of preparation they wanted from day one.

Ceramic coatings can last a seriously long time… if you look after them.

But fail to keep them clean and regularly decontaminated and they can become clogged, eventually appearing as though they’ve stopped working altogether.

This is why we recommend a proper decontamination around every 3 months, alongside regular washing with a good pH-neutral shampoo.

Cheap products and shampoos containing wax can also leave films behind that mask the coating’s performance.

But what if it’s already severely clogged?

In extreme cases like this, we can use acid to remove the stubborn contamination that simply won’t budge through normal cleaning.

It’s a more aggressive approach, but with a good quality coating underneath, you can sometimes bring something that looked completely dead back to life.

It might not perform exactly as it did when new, but that’s a much better result than assuming the coating has failed and starting again.

Look after your coating and it’ll look after your car. 👌

Back to the Range Rover for a full interior deep clean + ozone treatment.

We’d previously advised against putting the custom-made wooden floor back into the vehicle after it had been contaminated with diesel.

Unfortunately, it went back in — and with diesel soaked into the wood, the Range Rover was left with a seriously strong smell.

At that point, it needed a proper reset anyway… so we gave it the full works. 👌

Every area thoroughly cleaned and treated before finishing with ozone.

After the first ozone treatment there was still a slight trace of diesel, so rather than calling it done, we ran a second treatment.

That did the job. ✅

Fresh, properly cleaned and finally free from that lingering diesel smell.

Sometimes odour removal isn’t about masking a smell with something stronger. It’s about finding the source, removing as much contamination as possible, thoroughly cleaning the environment and then using the right treatment to finish the job.

If there’s still a smell, there’s still a problem to solve.

A proper headlight restoration isn’t just a quick polish.

We sand the damaged, failed surface back properly, refine the sanding stages, machine polish the lens back to full clarity, then protect it with a ceramic coating.

So why ceramic instead of applying another clear coat?

Simple — future failure.

If a newly applied clear coat eventually starts to fail, peel or deteriorate, you’re back to a damaged-looking surface that requires sanding again to remove it.

With ceramic protection, if the coating eventually reaches the end of its service life, the lens underneath is still the perfectly refined, polished finish we created.

No peeling clear coat.
No coating layer that needs sanding back off.
Just a clear lens ready to be cleaned, lightly refined if required, and protected again.

It takes more work to properly sand, refine and polish the headlights — but there’s a reason we do it this way.
