▪️Ford transit 2.0 Ecoblue timing belt

▫️The 2.0 eco blue Ford engine has gotten a bad name due to the wet timing belt design, poor wear on the belt causes it to break down over time and cause the oil pick up pipe to become blocked with pieces of rubber. This then leads to oil starvation to critical engine components

▪️we have seen these engines needing the belts done from as little as 33k miles, the oil condition plays a vital roll in preventing the belt from premature wear, as the belt runs continuously on the tensioner it requires adequate oil supply to keep the belt lubricated

▪️Citroen C3 1.2 Puretech with only 55k miles receiving it’s much needed wet belt replaced

▫️The 1.2 puretech engine runs there timing belts submerged in the engine oil, having it checked & replaced is vital for the health of the engine, additionally using the correct oil specification is a must for these engines to reduce the wear and deterioration of the belt
