Round 5 of USBK Championship
June 20th 2026

This past Saturday saw us at Kirkistown for round 5.
Friday night for set up was an absolute monsoon, we had a river at one point running past the lorry. Thankfully it dried up ok and by Saturday morning it was a little damp, eventually drying up completely to allow for a full dry days racing.

We had a great run out with the Production Twins with Race 1 seeing Alexander grab the top spot once again and David coming in at 4th place. Once again Stephen McKeown gave a good chase keeping Alexander on his toes. David set another personal best lap time, continuing to make excellent progress.

Race 2 saw Alexander again leading in 1st place into the last lap, Stephen McKeown again in 2nd, Alexander was ahead by 5 seconds when all of a sudden a wire broke in the killswitch knocking him out of the race completely. These things can happen at any time, but what can you do but dust yourself off and try again! David again came into 4th place holding a steady pace throughout!

Alexander didn't take the Pre Injection out this weekend due a back injury he sustained on Friday. It's amazing he raced at all never mind leading the pack on the twins! Wishing him a great weekend at Mondello this week.

David had a great day in the Moto one class coming in at 4th place in race 1 and 5th place in race 2. Super proud of both the boys this weekend!

This past Saturday June 6th, we were at Kirkistown for the 4th round of the USBK Championship. With a day of very mixed weather, we embraced the wet and dry and just gave it our all!
Alexander had a great weekend on the Production Twin, taking the win in both races, once again!! He had tough competition from Stephen McKeown, a past McKillop Racing team member and champion, but he gave it his all and got across the finish line in first proving his talent and determination. Alexander is currently leading the championship at 150 points with the 2nd place rider at 93 points.
In the Pre Injection class, Alexander had dusted off his retired bike from last year after we decided to step away from the Superbike fiasco, but unfortunately he had a DNF in both races due to an electrical fault. It was a great opportunity however to get the bike back out there and get a feel for it again. The faults have now been rectified and the bike will be good to go at the next meeting.

David Scott, was back at it again in Production Twin class. In race one he had a 4th place finish and race 2 he came in 5th! In the Moto one class, he had 2 x 7th place finishes leaving him at 3rd in the Moto One Championship as it stands at present. In both classes, he beat his personal best lap times so he is definitely moving in the right direction. A promising young rider indeed!

The weather certainly made it challenging at times to know which tyre to use, but a notable mention to Michelin Tyres. In the production twins class, race 1 had Michelin tyre users in 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th place. The 2nd race had 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th places. So that shows just how good they really are!

We were down at Kirkistown on Sunday to do some testing with the bikes. It all went relatively well. We have made a few modifications to Davids 300 and stock twin and they seem to have made a good difference. A few issues with Michael's Pre Injection 600, but nothing that can't be easily sorted. Hopefully all bikes will be good to go this Saturday! Alexanders Championship winning bike from last year was back on the track and dusted off as he looks forward to re-joining the Pre Injection Championship for the rest of this season in the USBK. He has a little catching up to do but we are confident he can get there! Thanks to all the photographers for the great photo's and to everyone involved in making the track day happen. Big shout out to our sponsors also! We look forward to updating you all after this weekend.
