🔧 Another job sorted today! 🔧

One of today’s repairs was a tricky one — the rear spring had actually come straight through the suspension arm 😳. Got a brand-new replacement arm fitted, but then hit a snag: the rear camber bolt was seized solid and wouldn’t budge.

Luckily our local parts supplier had exactly what we needed in stock! Had to get the 9-inch grinder out to cut the old one free, then fitted the new bolts and arm properly.

Honestly, so glad the customer lives locally and wasn’t heading over the Llangynog Mountain Road — it was so far gone it could’ve caused real trouble up there! 😅

All back together now, aligned and ready to go. He’s all set and safe to head to work next week ✅

🔧 Vehicle Repair Job: Ford Transit wouldn’t start 🔧

Found one injector completely faulty and another starting to fail, so replaced both of them. Also fitted new seals and copper washers to the remaining two injectors to keep everything in top condition.

Noticed the plastic leak-off clips had broken down over time due to heat — unfortunately you can’t buy just the clips on their own, so swapped out the whole fuel return line too to fix the issue properly.

Once everything was fitted, programmed the injectors in and ran tests. Fired it up and it’s running so much better now! Job done ✅

Saturday Success: Ford Transit Custom Glow Plug Replacement 🛠️🚐

Got a call today from a customer who started this job himself but quickly realized it was a bit more involved than expected! On these Transit Customs, the glow plugs are tucked away under the intake manifold, making access a bit of a challenge.

The biggest risk with these is them seizing or snapping during removal, but luckily, they all came out smoothly! Stripped it down, replaced the set, and got everything back together. The van fired up instantly.

Busy day on the mobile circuit with a pair of BMWs! 🛠️🇩🇪

First up: New rear coil springs for a Z4.
Second: Rear brake pads for a 3 Series.

Both customers insisted on OEM parts for that factory-standard performance and reliability, so that’s exactly what was fitted.

Also saved the Z4 owner a future headache—their locking wheel nut key was missing. I’ve successfully removed the old locks and replaced them with standard wheel bolts so they won’t be stranded if they ever get a flat.

Back on the road safely! 🚗💨

We had a Vauxhall Astra in today with a seizing brake caliper. To get it sorted properly, we:
✅ Removed the old, seized unit and fitted a brand-new caliper.
✅ Inspected the discs and pads (all in good health!).
✅ Bled the system and topped up with fresh brake fluid.

While the wheel was off, we noticed some missing plastic rivets causing the mudguard to rub against the tyre. We didn't want that causing issues down the line, so we secured everything back in place with new fittings and self-tappers. 🛠️

Attention to detail is what keeps our customers safe!

Another one back on the road! 🚐 This Transit Van came in with a nasty flat spot in the steering—no power assistance until you forced the wheel.

The old rack came out Tuesday, but after a delivery delay with the customer's supplied part, the new one didn’t arrive until Friday night. Knowing the owner needed it ready for work Monday morning, I was in early this Saturday to get it wrapped up. Job done and ready for the week ahead! 🔧💪

Another successful repair back out the door! 🛠️

This mower came in struggling, and it didn't take long to find out why. A cracked fuel tank was allowing water to seep in and contaminate the system. Check out the photo of the fuel sample I pulled—that "milky" mix is a total engine killer! ⛽️💧

The Fix:
✅ Stripped and deep-cleaned the carburetor
✅ Drained and flushed the contaminated fuel system
✅ Sealed the tank crack with high-strength plastic epoxy resin

She’s back together and purring like a kitten again. Another happy customer ready for mowing season! 🚜💨
