Whatever the weather, there is always a warm, friendly welcome awaiting parents/carers at 'Little Berries', the Berryfields Baby and Toddler Group. We meet every Thursday morning during term-time at the Roman Park Hall on Berryfields. Mums, Dads, Grandparents and childminders gather each week with bumps, babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers to play with a huge variety of toys. There is always a diff
erent activity to enjoy with your child, from Playdoh and sticking and gluing to colouring, or something more seasonal at certain times of the year. There’s books and puzzles, building bricks, dollies, prams, kitchen with play food, toy vehicles & garage, dressing-up clothes, and baby area with appropriate toys. After the children have played while the grown ups enjoy a chat and tea/coffee, the children can sit down to a healthy snack, and then join in with a sing-along at the end of each session (with actions, of course!)
We ask for £2.50 for the first child and £1 extra for each additional child per week to cover the cost of the healthy snacks, refreshments, hall hire and then any surplus is used to invest in new toys and equipment. The group is open to everyone, however there is a maximum number of children at each session, so is on a first come first served basis. Children remain the responsibility of the adult who brings them throughout the entire session.
