Take one Friday afternoon and mix with a classic truck, then take one of the barrels from the back of the truck and drive home. Find the most comfortable chair or sofa in the house and put your feet up. Never mind 'start your engines', this is more a case of 'start your bank holiday'. Have a great weekend everyone!

We bumped into one of our old storage customers in Marlborough high street last weekend as the had a little drive and meet. Mike's Cortina estate is a real sleeper which boasts a V8 engine and multilink suspension which has been on the Santa Pod strip on more than one occasion. We're also loving the combined Gulf colour combination of the mk1 and mk2 Es**rt. All very nice!

A weekend that included taking receipt of a lovely Mk2 Jaguar that will be prepared ready for sale and picking a customers immaculate Porsche from London to replace tyres on and put into storage. Whether a customer wants their pride and joy putting onto a trailer or whether they are happy that we pootle back to the unit, we are happy to oblige!!

David who is part of the Origins team not only had a grandfather who raced (successfully) and sold Douglas motorcycles back in the 1920's and 30's, but also had a father Ivon who used to compete in rallies in his Austin Devon. With so many people talking awkwardly about the past right now, its great to remind ourselves that most people only have positive things to recall.

David who is one of the Origins team is the proud grandson of the rider in the photo. William Campbell Parkes was not only a Douglas motorcycle dealer but also competed on a Douglas and won many competitions in the 1920's and 1930's. At a personal level a brilliant snapshot of David's grandfather and an insight into the origin of Davids own lifelong interest in classics.
