Not every replacement part is still available… but that doesn’t mean the machine has to be out of action.

This week we designed and 3D printed a couple replacement change gears for our Harrison lathe after discovering the originals were missing. After fitting them, the lathe is now accurately cutting threads again and is back in service.

3D printing isn’t just for prototypes or hobby projects—it can be a practical solution for replacing obsolete parts, creating custom components, making jigs and fixtures, and reducing downtime while waiting for replacements.

Festive Holiday opening and closing dates for MC Autos:

We will be closed from the 24th Dec and will be back open as normal on the 5th Jan.

We won’t be able to do any call outs or emergency appointments.

MC AUTOS has officially moved to unit 5.
This is still on the same estate however, when you drive in turn right and then left.
We are the last unit on the left.

Somethings a little different this morning, we have been out helping Independent Feeds deliver some of their silage sheets that were a bit big for their vans.
