In 1976, the Front Subframe mounting design was changed. Where earlier cars had it bolted directly to the body, cars after this date had rubber mounts introduced to reduce noise transmission. The downside of this was that the handling suffered. The rubber mounts tend not to survive too well either!

We supply solid mounts for each mounting point to return the Mini to its legendary taut handling characteristics.
