We have a Trophy winner!!
Had use of a customer's ZT Diesel over the weekend and decided to attend a classic car event at the Lakeland Motor Museum Rover and MG gathering as something to do on Sunday. Over the last year, we have gradually restored this car for the customer and it's currently for sale.
Well, what do you know?! It only won a trophy for Car of the day! We were shocked and at the same time, really proud! Mind you, it is a cracking car!

Two out of three of our customer's cars that have had advisory free MoT tests this week, the other is a lovely 75 Diesel Contemporary SE, will add a photo of that over the weekend. The Aquamarine ZT is waiting in line for some bodywork and paintwork to deal with some lacquer peel and the unsightly dent in the rear quarter. We believe that it will then be for sale by the customer. The lovely Ski Blue 75 is a 2.5 Auto Contemporary SE that may also be looking for a new owner soon. If anyone is interested in either car, we are happy to put you in touch with the owners!

Here's another of our recent projects, believed to be 1 of only 9 Diesel, auto, Monogram Chatsworth Tourers built. It's a Connie SE that had been off the road for at least three years. It came to us needing significant welding on the sills and requiring the interior to be re-installed. It's now back in daily use with one of our customers with an advisory free MoT having covered only 82,000 miles! Since the photo was taken, we've had the alloy wheels refurbished and will be attending to some paintwork in the near future for the customer when time permits. Long time, no news!
We've been really busy with customer cars and project work. This stunning customer project car has just been completed and we are really proud of it!
We were tasked with recommissioning this Arden Green 75 V6 Connie SE after it was laid up by the previous owner with a very poorly engine.(not surprising really as the car has covered over 203k miles!). The spec of the car is amazing, we think it has every possible option fitted from the factory, and was owned by the same family (two brothers), from new until our customer bought it two years ago.
We were tasked with sourcing and fitting a replacement engine and to do any remedial work required to obtain an advisory free MoT test. We located a very healthy 86k mile engine and then carried out a full cambelt service on it along with new gaskets, plugs and fluids. We then went through the rest of the car with a fine tooth-comb and tackled any issues that needed attention. The main culprits were a couple of coil springs, a leaky exhaust, and a couple of electrical gremlins that were traced to a bad earth.
Our customer has decided to sell the car on now that it is finished, so we asked John from Clean Inc. mobile valet and detailing to come and perform his magic and ready the car for sale. As usual, the result was very impressive!

More work this week on recommissioning this 70k mile 2.5 V6 for one of our regular customers. It's booked in for its' MoT test next week. Last week we did the cambelts, water pump and new clutch, this week it's had a new cat (the existing one wouldn't seal properly) a new throttle cable and a tiny patch of welding to the rear of the driver side sill. It's a manual Club SE and drives beautifully. We're waiting to see if the customer is going to keep it or decides to sell it as it's quite rare to find a manual 2.5 75 especially with such low mileage!

Engine transplant on this diesel 45 project car. All of the internal waterways were corroded and the engine was beyond saving. We sourced another L series engine to transplant which needed all of the ancilliaries swapping over too.
