Replacement roofskin for this Peugeot 205 to get rid of a badly fitted aftermarket sunroof which had caused rust issues in the original roof.

Outer skin only removed, leaving original inner structure in place so as not to disturb the integrity (such as it is on a 35 year old french car...) of the shell, replacement 2nd hand roof prepped by removing all inner structure (this took the longest time to do out of the whole job!) To leave just the skin, offered up, trimmed where necessary then welded in place, mig on the pillar joints, original spot welds copied everywhere else and voila! No more sunroof, paint next

Lots of fiddly jobs on the cooper Le today getting ready to fit windscreen scuttle / surround panel, the sort of jobs that look simple but just take forever 😂

Complete top lip of bulkhead replaced, rotten pretty much along its full length due to normal rust in this area + its already had one scuttle that wasn't fitted very well which has made the problem worse but done now and saved the bulkhead panel

drivers side roof corner repaired, couple of smaller repairs on upper a posts then prepped all panels due to be welded on tomorrow

had a spare half hour at the end of the day so dragged the front subframe out and made a start stripping it

More work on the Cooper le, rear panel, o/s door post, inner wing, roof gutter repairs and now a full windscreen surround panel going in, some rot in the roof corner to sort and repairs to top of bulkhead before that can happen
