The last post….
Well friends, the time has come.
It is with great sadness but wonderful reflection that I write this last post from DV HQ.
I started this business more as a hobby than anything during that unforgettable Covid period.
Back then I wanted something other than the humdrum, laptop glued, working from home life that I, aswell as countless others, had.
I learned a new skill in a relatively short time, got some certifications from my great friends at Hexis UK Ltd and started DV. Never thinking at the time that it would amount to very much. In fact I did it on the side of my normal day to day job. However, things rapidly changed and the orders started flowing in.
Since then I have worked with some amazing people - I dont need to mention you. If I’m
Still in contact with you then You know who you are 🫡❤️
I’ve worked on some amazing cars and was given the freedom to exert a creativity I wasn’t expecting.
I’ve also witnessed just how toxic the car mod industry can be. My advice to anyone starting out in the industry is be yourself and don’t be led by so called ‘friends’ who promise the earth, lead you on and deliver nothing but their own need for gain. Don’t attempt to cross an ocean for people who wouldn’t walk across a puddle for you.
My outlook on everything I do is, and always has been perfection. If it’s not perfect then it’s not right. This extends to every aspect of everything I do in life and everything I did when delivering a service to my customers.
That ambition and drive to be the best at what I do is how I’ve lived my life for many years and it’s extended into the work I did for my customers.
Those customers then became friends, which is testament to how I put their satisfaction and the quality of my work before all else.
However I’m a person who needs security in life and unfortunately wrapping cars simply cannot provide that. A car wrap is classed as a luxury these days and in a society which has literally been financially crushed in recent times luxuries are a thing people now prioritise. Therefore family, friends and the cost of living comes first for us all. Me included. Because believe it or not, just the cost of living is now regarded in a lot of circles as a luxury!! Can you believe that??
During the time DV has been running I’ve educated myself both professionally and emotionally, and had some wonderful experiences. I’ve met life long friends along the way and have loved every single second of the journey.
However, the time has come to hang up knife and squeegees and close the door on an awesome chapter in my life.
I extend a warm and heartfelt thanks to every single person who has invested time, supported me and encouraged that journey in its relatively short period.
It’s been epic.
That’s a wrap….
