Stock Controller/Purchaser

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum plus bonuses
Following successful growth, we are keen to develop our strategy, creating a new role for a Buyer / Stock Controller.
The successful candidate will be tasked with rationalising the suppliers, consolidating spend and introducing robust processes to ensure they are maximising cost saving opportunities.
The ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong negotiation skills and ability to influence and drive best practice.
You will be confident in communicating at all levels and willing to deal with end-to-end purchasing including administrative tasks.
The incumbent will be expected to build collaborative supplier relationships, ensuring quality, cost and lead times are in line with business objectives.
The Role of Stock Controller/Purchaser:
- Ensure that goods inward/stock control department is well
organised and controlled
- Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and
discrepancies are highlighted, addressed, and resolved
-Generate Purchase Orders and sales orders using Sage 50
-Maintaining required stock levels and monthly stock take to
ensure stock records are accurate
-Manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets
-Dealing with stock queries Internal and external within the
company
-General administration to support day to day activities
-Monthly Stock valuation reporting
To be considered for the role of Stock Controller/Purchaser:
-A minimum of 2 years in a stock control / purchasing role
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
-Excellent Microsoft Office skills
-A full UK driving licence
-The flexibility to travel
Additional Information
Monday - Friday 8.30am-5pm
£100 a month attendance bonus
20 days holiday a year plus bank holidays
Additional holidays after 5 years of employment
