🥳🥳What a year it has been. We now start our preparations for the new workshop. We will be moving in on 5th January. The pictures show what an upgrade it will be from what we had. This new workshop will be able to offer the 5 star work I want to give to all my customers. To all customers have a merry Christmas and happy new year. 🥳🥳

⭐️⭐️Big changes are happening⭐️⭐️

We will be moving out of our current workshop on 28th November and hopefully moving into a new workshop very soon (waiting on the legal paperwork to be finalised). So in the short term we will be doing mobile work and working from home. The move is due to current workshop is no longer fit for our use. There will be a slight change to the hours which will be 7:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. We will also be changing the work type we take on so we won’t be doing major work from now on so work like engine changes, clutches, gearbox will no longer be accepted. With this move will bring me back on the workshop floor and will be only me and the family going forward.
Will be updating you once we have a date for the new workshop opening.

The workshop will be closed today & a number of Saturdays through out the rest of this year. I am going back to volunteering as a Motorsport marshal after a number of years away. Today I will be at brands hatch.

What a year it has been since moving from being a mobile mechanic to my own workshop.
🎉We have done so much in the last year from moving in June 24 to a bear shell to expanding in to the building next door in November 24 doubling the workshop space.
🎉Taking on 2 mechanics & 1 trainee mechanic with the work load increasing.
🎉Passing our AA Audit in January and working with Castrol under the proud to use scheme.
🎉Also our new website which has just gone live in the last few weeks.

We have more expansion of services planned for the year ahead so keep an eye on our page for further updates. A lot of work still to do but hopefully the vision of being able to offer you our customers the one stop place for all car servicing & repairs.

Breaking News
We at D J Motors Ashford Ltd are in the process of moving into our New workshop. We will be opening on Saturday 1st June at 9am.
The address is South Stour Road, Ashford TN23 7RS
We are not far from Ashford International Railway Station.
Our new phone numbers are 01233 521200 & 01233 521201. These numbers will be live as of 9am on the 1st June. Please do not use them until then.
The mobile phone number will be become my private number as of 1st June so please use the workshop numbers and not use the mobile number from the 1st. The workshop will still take time to get to the way we want so will be work in progress over the next few months so please bear with us. This will be a big transition for us from moving away from mobile servicing to being in a workshop.

Sunday & Bank Holiday Closed

We hope to expand our service offering to you over the next year and be able to be your one stop place for car & van servicing & repairs.

Want to wish all my customers a merry Christmas. As of 1st January 2023 the company will be come limited as currently sole trader which will mean a slight change to the name. We will be called D J Motors Ashford Ltd. We will also no longer be mobile service but working from a small workshop at home until a suitable place is found which is very hard to find. We have closed early for Christmas this year due to my health and being advised not to drive for a few weeks. Hopefully health issues get better for the new year as got a number of new services planned for the next year.

Sorry for the long post and not much activity on this page
In the last two years I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes wide spread pain and extreme tiredness plus a long list of other issues. I can go sometimes days, week or even months being able to cope and try and enjoy my life and run my mechanic business as best as I can. To some people I can appear normal on the outside and seem nothing is wrong but I can be crying in pain on the inside. Sometimes though I get what I call fibro attacks that sometimes mean I can’t do the simplest of tasks for example holding a knife & fork in my hand with out being in the worst pain imaginable. There is no cure for this condition.
I have had a fibro attack over the last few days and it has made me thing long and hard about the direction my business is going. To help my condition I am going to have to look for a workshop so if anybody knows of any that accept motor trade in or near the Ashford Kent area.
I will be looking to sell my van in the near future to help fund the move but if anybody has any ideas that help with funding. I have tried the normal avenues for funds but keep getting declined
Any help would be most appreciated
