Fitting up time on the Series 1 80" nice to be able to put some detailing back in. Some fittings where in good enough order have simply be clear coated for protection, those that needed heavier work are painted. This helps prevent electrolytic corrosion from restarting. Some new stainless is used in sets, which frees up some odd bolts so where possible, original fit bolts still usable are reused in sets. Not all fittings are 100% spot on to original fit, as mostly we are refitting what came apart.

Learned two important things yesterday.
Sometimes rather than getting under something, all you need to know is obvious. The second? Landrovers do not make good battering rams. At less than 30mph, this one written off when skidding on gravel into a tree. A direct 45 deg impact onto chassis rail, pused the whole front half of chassis 20mm to one side. Barely bent the front bumper! Lot of work, but repairable with a new chassis.
