It’s been a minute since we last gave you all a run down of all the things the team have been getting up to in and out of the workshop.

There has been plenty of the usual, repaints, repairs and that sort of stuff with a little of the not so usual thrown into the mix!

We’ve been working with our regular clients keeping there vehicles looking fresh and clean also with new clients up dating there vehicles and getting them looking the way they should. We also had the pleasure of working off site for a few days repairing and updating a stationary bus which is used as an activity area in a school.

Have a swipe through the pictures for a peak of what we been up to and what we have coming up.

Happy Tuesday 👍🏻

Before agreeing to any repaint, it’s worth knowing exactly what actually needs doing on your PSV or HGV vehicle.

We speak to operators who have paid for work that simply did not need doing.

A full repaint when a partial refurb would have done the job. Panels replaced when they could have been repaired.

That is why at Bucks Body Shop in West Sussex, we offer a free fleet paint and damage audit.

We assess the paint condition, corrosion, and prep requirements, and then advise whether a full repaint, partial refurb, or simple repair actually makes the most sense.

There is no pressure to move forward and no sales pitch like you might expect ❌

The aim from us is simply to give honest advice, the same way we do for operators every day ✅

If you run a PSV or HGV fleet, choosing the wrong body shop does not just cost money.

It costs downtime, missed routes, and vehicles sitting off the road longer than they should. 🤷‍♂️

We see it all the time. Jobs that overrun, rushed preparation that fails months later, and operators chasing updates with no real answers.

For the last 18 years, Bucks Body Shop in West Sussex has specialised in keeping commercial vehicles looking right and staying on the road.

The truth is most repaint problems don’t show up on day one.

They show up months later.

Peeling, bubbling, corrosion coming back through.

All because the prep was rushed.

At Bucks, preparation always comes first ✅

Every repaint is planned properly, stripped back where needed, treated correctly, and finished to last, not just for handover photos.

We also understand one thing most operators care about. Downtime is expensive. That’s why every job comes with a clear schedule before your vehicle even arrives.

We work with fleet operators, councils, and private companies across the South Coast, and most of our work now comes from repeat clients and referrals.

If you are new to working with us, we also offer trial options, so you can see the quality before committing long term.

If your fleet needs repainting, refurbishing, or you just want honest advice first, send us Bucks Bodyshop Ltd a message and tell us about your vehicle and we’ll point you in the right direction. 🫡

Most PSV and HGV repaint problems do not show up on day one.

They show up a few months down the line.

- Paint starting to peel.
- Bubbling in places.
- Rust creeping back through.

And most of the time it comes down to the same thing. The prep was rushed ❌

At Bucks Bodyshop, prep always comes first ✅

We use the correct treatment process and proper primers so the rust is held back for years to come.

Because the goal is not just a repaint that looks good when the vehicle rolls out of the booth.

It is a finish that actually lasts on the road.

That is how we protect your investment, and why fleets like Southern Transit, Woods Travel, and Compass Travel continue to come back to us.

How did we take the London Routemaster RM2 from a basic repaint job to a museum showstopper for its 60th anniversary?

When the London Transport Museum approached us, they needed a body shop they could trust to bring this iconic bus back to its original look with a full repaint.

With a vehicle like this, it had to be done properly, so we took it right back to the start.

Every panel was checked, every dent was corrected, and every small imperfection was sorted before any paint went near the bus.

But the biggest challenge on this job was the colour. 🎨

It had to be an exact match to the historic sample we were given.

Nothing close. It had to be right.

With the deadline getting closer, we spent days working back and forth with the paint suppliers, adjusting and fine tuning the mix until we finally got it spot on.

Once we had the colour nailed, it was a rush back to the body shop to get the guns loaded and the paint on the bus, ready for the museum to collect the next day.

Two weeks later, thousands of Routemaster fans and bus enthusiasts came to see it on display. And from the reactions we saw, we knew we had done the bus proud. 👀

We even won an award for another bus we had worked on during that timeframe

For us, it was one of the proudest moments we have had at the shop, and we are still working with the museum till this day.

If you’ve got a bus or fleet that deserves a proper finish, drop us Bucks Bodyshop Ltd a message with the word RM and we’ll be in touch 🫡

One of the biggest complaints we hear from fleet operators is what happens once a vehicle goes into the bodyshop.

The communication suddenly disappears.

You’re left wondering what stage the job is at, and when you’re actually going to get the vehicle back.

At Bucks Bodyshop, we do things differently ✅

Every client gets a dedicated communication thread with the team working on the vehicle.

That means regular updates, photos of the progress, and a direct line of contact if you need to ask anything.

No guessing. No chasing. No wondering.

Just clear updates and a process that keeps everything moving.

Most bodyshops want full payment as soon as the job’s finished.

Even if you’re not completely happy with the result. 🤷‍♂️

At Bucks Bodyshop, we don’t work like that.

Every vehicle goes through a full snag check, inside and out, before anything is signed off.

Nothing gets approved until you’re completely satisfied with the finish.

Since a good repair should not just look great on collection day, it should last on the road. ✅

That is exactly why fleets like Compass Travel, Southern Transit, and Woods Travel continue to trust us year after year.

If you want a body shop in the South of England that is confident enough to prove the work before sign off, drop us a follow Bucks Bodyshop Ltd and comment BUCKS below and we’ll be in touch 👀

Your vehicles say a lot about your company before anyone even speaks to you.

If they are looking tired, damaged, or worn out, it can start to affect the image you have worked hard to build.

At Bucks Bodyshop, we help bring those vehicles back to life. ✅

From repaints and resprays to full fleet liveries, our refurbishments restore your interior and exterior to how they should be.

Accident repairs to get damaged vehicles safely back on the road again.

And fabrication work for panels that need repairing or replacing.

We also carry out restorations and conversions for classic and vintage vehicles that deserve a second life.

If your fleet needs one trusted body shop that can handle it all, drop us a follow Bucks Bodyshop Ltd and comment BUCKS below and we’ll be in touch 👀

PSV and HGV operators across the South of England will know this.

Nothing makes your job harder than seeing your vehicles out on the road looking rough.

It looks unprofessional, and whether we like it or not, people notice. 🤷‍♂️

Passengers mention it. Drivers point it out. Senior management starts asking questions.

And suddenly you’re the one on the hook for getting it sorted.

The frustrating part is when you try to fix it, that can become another problem. ❌

Some body shops overpromise on turnaround times, miss deadlines, and hand the vehicle back looking good for a week… before the finish starts to fade again.

At Bucks Body Shop, PSV and HGV repaints are done the way they are meant to be done. ✅

Proper preparation, the right process, and a finish designed to last on the road, not just look good on collection day.
