This lovely Bay came into us for new ball joints as the customer said they were knocking. Changed them over as they were definitely 20years old if not more. Took for a test drive and there was still a knocking 👀 decided to strip the lower arms out of the beam & all the bushes & bearings had gone. Replaced them all & the knocking has now gone!

Grahams Bay. In for suspected speed sensor issues. After replacing mechanical VSS to GPS Speed sensor, it definitely helped but still not quite right. After some more investigation was found to be an ECU fault. So a new ECU set was fitted & now is working as it should be 👊🏼

Steve Splitty EJ251 in for some running issues. New GPS Speed Sensor & lambda fitted. The original speed sensor which is in the Subaru gearbox had broken causing all sorts of issues. Also cleaned out the idle control valve. Now running sweet 👊🏼

⚠️ Business Warning – Please Be Vigilant
Unpaid invoice
We’re sharing this as a general warning to other motor businesses.
Over 6months ago we carried out mechanical work on a vehicle. An invoice for a substantial amount for the completed work remains unpaid on good faith the customer was transferring the money, and the vehicle was taken from our premises.
We are currently dealing with the matter through the appropriate channels and have documentation relating to the work, invoice and vehicle.
Other businesses should carry out their usual checks and consider taking appropriate payment/security arrangements before releasing vehicles where there is an outstanding balance.
Please do not harass, threaten or contact the customer on our behalf. This post is intended solely as a professional warning to other businesses.

Marks Bay window on Hydraulics 🤙🏼 cooling issue whilst driving, popping fuses & gearstick alignment issues. The trigger hasn’t been removed from the gearstick to allow to select all the gears from the Subarugears gearbox. Looked into the fans & one was completely stuck causing the popping of fuses & not cooling as well as it can. Cool looking bus this 👊🏼

Nigel’s van finally back on the road! After a year being with a garage that couldn’t fix the issue of the clutch. 1 week here it’s back together with a perfectly operational clutch! After seeing machined spigot bearing, machined flywheels & a lot of bodge jobs on this van we took the diy hydraulic clutch system off and put it back to cable. Using the customers Rjes bellhousing we used the correct fitting kit and now works perfectly 🤙🏼 checked over the conversion & it had a few air leaks so sorted these out. Happy customer who can finally use his camper!

This lovely beetle has been frying batteries for fun, 3 in a month or so. Quick check & the voltage regulator as at fault! Replaced it, Fired it up & and electrical test, now safe for the road again.

Mikes Splitscreen. Job consisted of lowering the front of the van 2 inches, adjusting steering box.
On test drive notified customer that the discs were warped, the engine was misting oil & the clutch was slipping.
Since the 2276 has been built it’s never been set up correctly so we ordered New Airewld discs for his wilwood brake disc kit & removed the engine. On closer inspection the Stage 1 KED pressure plate wasn’t home in the flywheel so all of the clutch wasn’t being engaged properly. Spigot bearing needed replace & the misting was coming from a block breather which needed sealing up better as there was nothing there before. Just metal on metal.
Once that was all sorted we reinstalled the engine, oil & filter change, fitted some Protech shocks and took it to rolling road for engine setup, power runs & ignition check!
