247 Started as a small, family ran business, & we are still proud of that today. As the demand for new van sales dropped during March 2020, we expanded into delivery services to assist with the new national surge in parcel home deliveries. We have been partnering with a leading parcel delivery firm for over 12 months , and the demand for new drivers is not slowing!
We are looking for hard working, reliable self employed drivers who have experience driving a 3.5t, long wheel based van. This role is fast paced and will require you to load your van in the morning, lifting parcels up to the weight of 35kg.
Here’s some benefits we offer:
- Potential to work over time.
- We pay for & provide the van, insurance, uniform, and cover your fuel costs so our drivers should never be out of pocket. There is no costs involved to drivers at all before starting work with us
- Full paid training provided
- We also provide on the job training, going out with an experienced driver to test the waters before you commit to the role.
- Everything you drop off is paid to you at a rate of 90p per drop, with our drivers on average delivering 100-130 per day. You are guaranteed a minimum of £90 per day in the event the route given to you is less than 100.
- Paid 4 weekly (giving you 13 pay days per year)
- You can take van home when not working overnight & use it for your own use (simply return to depot when you have consecutive days off). This means you do not need your own vehicle in order to get to work / take the job
- You routes are calculated for you & optimised to give them the most efficient drive. You do not have to work out your route, it is all done for you
- Self-employed basis – 247 self-invoice you, making the process smooth & simple
- 5 days a week guaranteed work on a rota basis each week (availability to work weekends / early morning starts required).
We offer everyone the chance to spend a day in the passenger seat with one of our experienced drivers driving the van to ‘try before you buy’ if you want to get the chance to see if you would enjoy the role before signing up.
We understand that you just want to earn an honest living and get paid fairly & on time. You don’t need anything except a willingness to be reliable and be friendly to those you deal with at work. Requirements: You will need to have a full UK driving license which you have held for over 1 year (with a maximum of 6 points) & the ability to pass a basic DBS check (247 fund this for you).
