Who would have thought that tiny corrosion hole would cause such a problem. This car came to us and the customer was told it needed an engine ecu at the cost of over £2000 we had a look at the problem and could see we had no power to the engine ecu on investigation we found the main power lead for the engine ecu relay was corroded and had a huge resistance, on removal we could see a small hole in the rubber protective casing which had let water in. New lead front to back and she up and running and like new and at a fraction of the cost. garage 🧰🧰⚡️⚡️

Nice diag in today, 1 series came in with radio innop, rear windows innop, boot lock innop, various warnings on dash checked the fault memory and can see we have no comms with various control units, all on the kcan 2 bus network. The voltage readings on the bus lines were showing the same which is wrong. So a bit more wire testing and removing the ecus connected to this network to find 2 bus wires behind the glovebox shorted together. Wires repaired and all the ecus plugged back in and all working fine again. 👌👌 🔧🔧 🧰🧰

Nice little Monday diag in today, bmw 4 series in for headlight vertical aim fault showing on dash. Fault code check shows rear left level sensor measuring voltage to low. First check was to measure the voltage at the rear level sensor to find 0v. Next step was to check the wire from the sensor to the icm ecu and we found open circuit now to find where the wire is broke. After some searching we found it broken behind the nsr quarter. Quick wire repair and reset the ride height sensors and away to go. 🧰🧰⚡️⚡️
