Been a busy few weeks and fell behind with the update so here it goes.

Snowman Rally

We had Scott Beatie and Emily Easton-Page sitting in for Peredur who couldn’t make it. Ian Forgan and Chris Lees. Ross MacDonald and Matt Johnston Ross fresh after his good result in Mull. Eddie Noble and Erin Wood and a last minute call on Wednesday to run Freddie Milne and Keir Beaton on the event in Keirs hope to clinch the co drivers championship.

Causal Friday saw all cars through scrutineering and ready for the start on Saturday morning.

Saturday came and cars were away.

Scott and Emily had a slow start to the morning but after familiarising themselves with each other the pace was there and no punctures. They got to the finish in 4th overall and 2nd SRC Scott’s 2nd podium this season

Ian and chris were building pace through the day on their return to the snowman after 2022 going well until the last stage a technical issue caused the car to cut out and loose over a minute finishing 10th overall. Disappointing but good to get a finish which a meant a lot on this event being the first back since the accident.

Ross and Matt. After his good finish in mull he was hoping to keep it going taking a few stages to get used to slippy stuff he soon found his way taking him too 15th overall and 2nd in class another good finish.

Eddie and Erin setting some great pace and showing their capabilities. Sadly a bent rear axle due to rough conditions ended there day in stage 5

Freddie and Keir. A tough day for Freddie on the 32mm was always going to be hard and car being stuck in 2wd for the first loop made it harder battling on to finish 9th overall and with the way it played Keir secured the co drivers championship. Congratulations Keir glad we could help out.

Also had Bruce Mcombie’s Fiesta R5 in for Diff work, set up changes, prep work and repair of a throttle issue from the Grampian was good to see him getting a good finish 8th overall.

Crail

The Inglis Father and Son team out again Greg and Erica Winning in the white lotus and Alistair and Michael Moates in the orange lotus.

Been a full on 2 weeks getting the cars ready after not having been out for a year

Pretty plain sailing all day was good to get the cars back in pretty much one piece

Greg and Erica finishing 1st overall and Alistair and Mikey finishing 7th overall and 1st in Class

Thanks to the boys on the spanner’s

Mull Rally 2024 ✅

After a monumental task of rebuilding the evo after the off at the Speyside just coming off the dyno on Tuesday night and no time for a test. We then headed for Mull after getting our gremlins sorted after shakedown, we then had plain sailing all weekend couldn’t have asked for more, Ross Mcdonald and Clare Fraser brought it back in one piece with spanner checks all weekend in a credible 21st overall.

Thanks too
Matty at MB Garage Services & Motorsport for the mapping
Mercury Motorsport Ltd. for the paintwork

Thanks to Robbie and Davie for coming over and your help over the weekend. Now a quick turnaround for the snowman next weekend.

This weekend seen us make the trip down to cockermouth in the Lake District for Malcom Wilson rally the 1st round of the BTRDA championship with one of the crews entered in the championship and the others down for some seat time ahead of the SRC starting

With 3 cars out this weekend seen us looking after Ian Forgan and Chris lees in the R5, New customer Scott Beattie and Peredur Davis in the R5 and Ross McDonlad and Matt Johnstone in the Evo

Started off on Thursday with Scott attending the test day to get some seat time and a few set up changes to the car

Then Friday morning Ian attended the test to get so valuable seat time first time back out on gravel since the snowman off a good shakedown was had with Ian getting quicker on every run and then I had the pleasure of getting a run with him 🙈🙈

Then it was over to cockermouth for scrutineering at Msport and reprep the cars before the Friday nite stages

Ian had a good run over the weekend building his confidence with every stage and the smile was just getting big everytime he came in to service end result was 15th overall

After getting a missfire sorted out on Scott’s car on Saturday morning from the Friday nite stages, Scott was ready for a big push 🚀which he did and ended up 5th overall and 3rd BTRDA so podium finish brillant result👏🏻👏🏻

Ross had a good clean run and Friday nite and also Saturday building confidence and seat time and getting quicker every stage it’s been 3 yrs since he last finished a rally well done pal

Thanks to the lads in the workshop always a massive help couldn’t do it without you’s. Busy time ahead preparing for the next event

Forgan’s back!

Been very quiet on here whilst beavering away in the background.

Kinloss rally with 3 cars Ian Forgan, Barry Hogg and Eddie Noble Snr.

Barry Hogg out again to try and have some fun and set some good times first stage went well, 2nd stage dropped a bit of time due to a spin and stall then mid stage 3 a vibration started and limped out of stage resulting in Rear diff failure day over.

Eddie Noble Snr stole his sons car for some fun and to get back out rallying after not being out in over 30 years. stage times improving all day and Eddie having a massive smile which is what it was all about still life in the old dog yet

And finally Ian and Chris (2023 SRC Champ)

After what has been 20 months since Ian and Chris’s accident and receiving a shell and a box of some bits. a lot of work has gone in to getting this built and to see the car from the word go be on point is a massive achievement and to come home with his maiden win is a massive one for Ian Chris and the whole team bring on 2024

Grizdale next for the last one of the yeare

This weekend seen us make the trip up to Elgin for the Speyside stages the 2nd round of the SRC.

With 3 cars out this weekend seen us looking after Michael Binnie and Claire Mole in the R5, Kevin Crawford and Andrew Stevenson in the Evo and Aileen and John Forrest in the Evo

Started off on Thursday with all 3 customers attending the VIP day, all getting a good shakedown for the weekend a trip back to the workshop for a re prep Thursday night seen us ready to head back up the road on Friday for scrutineering before the night stages.

Michael’s first event in the R5 he was just going to take it steady and see what happened and push more on Saturday seen him lie 4th 10seconds off the lead.

Kevin first time of night driving in the woods was unsure how he was going to get on and came back a credible 30th overall and ready to push on Saturday

Aileen just wanted to go steady for the night stages and came in a very encouraging 52nd for the night

Saturday morning saw the usual 2 blasts round Cooper everyone made it round unscathed (including Kevin after last years adventures)

On to the gravel stages in SS5 Michael lost a bit of time when the R5 cut out a master reset and off he went again he continued push setting top 5 times all day even winning SS8 and joint fastest in the final a tight battle at the finish saw him pipped for 3rd by one second a very good drive for the first time in the R5

Kevin went out and upped the pace all day until on SS9 the turbo gave way and forced retirement after what was a promising run from him today

Aileen, super star as always finishing First Lady and 42nd overall had a good day in the office with that special smile on her face all day

Thanks to the lads in the workshop always a massive help couldn’t do it without you’s. Busy time ahead preparing for the next event
