Three elements. Endless character.

The hull-shaped lower section.
The horizontal beltline.
The wedge.

Three defining elements that make the Runabout instantly recognizable , and a design simple enough to appreciate in its purest form.

But purity also creates room to play.

Through color, contrast and material, those same lines can take on completely different personalities, allowing each of the 25 Runabout commissions to develop an identity of its own.

One concept. A whole design language.

Matteo De Feudis, Bertone Head of Sales & Marketing, traces the line from the 1969 Runabout to the icons it helped inspire: Stratos Zero, X1/9 and Countach.

Today, that vision returns as the new Bertone Runabout: 25 coachbuilt examples, carrying the spirit of 1969 back to the road.

Arancio Plastik is a bespoke color from the CMF at Bertone.

A vivid orange inspired by the experimental material culture of late-1960s and early-1970s design.

An era of molded, saturated color, radical furniture, space-age objects and automotive concepts that looked toward the future with optimism and audacity.

Paired with a deep aubergine lower body, polished metal and dark technical elements, the color amplifies the Runabout’s graphic proportions and retro-futuristic character.

Inside, orange upholstery, black surfaces, exposed hardware and the mechanical gearshift continue the experience, deliberately expressive.
